"Mother", I said.

"Yeah".

"Its Mina's birthday today. But I don't know what to do", I said slouching in my chair.

"Well, have you got her a card yet?".

"Yes but that's all. I can't buy a necklace since I brought her one for summer, I also can't buy rings since those are for prom".

"Mhm her favourite food?".

"We always go on restaurant dates. I want to do something special", I said.

"What if she doesn't want you to go all out?".

"Then...".

"You should buy a present you think she would cherish", she said.

My car

"Morning birthday girl", I said smiling.

"Morning", she said pecking my cheek.

"Well this is your gift", I said handing her the bag.

She looked into the bag getting the present out.

"Do I unwrap it now?".

"Sure go ahead", I said feeling nervous.

She unwrapped it revealing a Lego set.

"Lego?".

"Well I saw Lego figures in your room I thou---".

I was silence with her pecking my lips.

"I love Legos".

I smiled feeling happy I didn't blow the gift.

Beach

"A guitar?", I asked shocked.

"I um well have been learning it", she said.

I smiled.

"You're going to play something for me?".

"Want to sing our first-ever song together? I know how to play that", she said.

"oh really?".

"Yes".

"Okay lets do that then", I said smiling.

She began to play the chords.

"Livin in my own world... Didn't understand... That anything can happen... When you take a chance".

I looked at her.

"I never believed in... What I couldn't see... I never opened my heart...".

"Oh".

I smiled.

"To all the possibilities, ooh-ooh".

"I know that something has changed... Never felt this way... And right here tonight", we both sang in unison.

"This could be the start of something new".

"It feels so right ---".

"To be here with you", she said joining in with me.

"And now looking in your eyes... I feel in my heart... the start of something new".

"Oh yeah".

She looked at me smiling.

"Now who'd have ever thought that, mm".

"We'd both be here tonight?", I said chiming in.

"And the world looks so much brighter", I said.

"I know that something has changed... Never felt this way...".

"I know it for real", I said.

"This could be the start of something new...".

"It feels so right... to be here with you... and now looking into your eyes...".

I smiled looking into her eyes.

"This has been the best birthday gift ever".

"I was nervous you'd dislike it", she said putting the guitar down.

I intertwined our hands.

"Music is really something I enjoy doing with you. So I thought it would be fun to sing the song that brought us together", she said.

"I love every single moment", I said turning her head to me.

She pressed her forehead against pecking my lip.
