Deceptive Web

In shadows deep, a girl did dwell,
Her secrets wrapped, in stories she'd tell.
With silver tongue, she spun her web,
Deception's mistress, a sorceress in her stead.

To all who saw, she wore a guise,
A mask of innocence, to their eyes.
Her laughter echoed, like a sweet refrain,
Yet woven within were threads of disdain.

In whispers soft, she'd craft her lies,
A master weaver, skilled in disguise.
Her words like silk, so delicately spun,
Entangling hearts, until truth was undone.

With feigned sincerity, she'd paint her art,
A canvas of falsehood, torn hearts apart.
Each tale she spun, a tapestry of deceit,
And in her charade, she found her deceit.

But deep within, a voice would cry,
A conscience woken, a soul's weary sigh.
For though she danced on a stage of pretense,
Her spirit longed for true recompense.

Oh, girl of shadows, what do you seek?
In webs of falsehood, your spirit grows weak.
The path you tread is paved with shards,
And trust once given, now stands on guard.

Embrace the light, release the guise,
Unburden your heart, let honesty rise.
For the truth, though hard, shall set you free,
And grant you the grace to truly be.

Oh, girl of secrets, it's time to choose,
To shed the falsehoods, let authenticity infuse.
For in the depths of your soul's sacred core,
The real you awaits, to be adored once more.
