it had been about thirty minutes since the fight and me,knight and lucas were all in the headmaster's office. there was knight on my right and lucas on my left. i sat in the middle and no one spoke until the cheerful headteacher walked in. "the second time today," was the first thing she said. her wings fluttered as she walked. she sat on the desk oposite us. she looked at knight and carried on lecturing them about behavour. i turned to lucas and grabbed his wrist. i could see that he was struggling to wrap the bandage around his knuckles. "here," i muttered and held out my hand. he placed his in mine and i taped the bandage down.as i continuted looking down, strands of hair fell down my face. i felt a soft skin touch my cheek. i looked up and saw lucas tuck my strands behind my ear. i smiled and looked away,the blood rushing to my cheeks. "thanks royal," he smiled. "miss williams?" headmaster bareea said,turning to me. i took a deep breath and looked up to her. "yes?"i said. "thank you for trying to stop them," she smiled to me. "i did stop them," i muttered,rolling my eyes. "however both students will be suspended. my eyes grew and i sat up in my seat. "t-they'll come back,right?" i asked. "ofcourse," she said, still smiling. "how long?" i asked leaning back. my tail swayed underneath the chairs. "a week," she said. "whatever," i said standing up. i walked up to the door but stopped when i was next to it. "and i did stop the fight,headmaster," i sighed and walked off. i walked until i got the the common room. ezra,elijah and gem were all talking but stopped when i approched them. "how long they got?" elijah asked. "excuse me?" i answered,leaning against the door. "a week," someone said behind me. i turned around and because,whoever it was,had scared me,my first thought was to hit them. so thats what i did. i clenched my fist and punched the person behind me. as soon as i did, a yelp of pain came from the person. "jesus," they said. "oh my god, im so sorry lucas," i apologised. he was rubbing his jaw and had tears in his eyes. "i'm sorry," i muttered and tried to walk away. he grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "w-what?" i stuttered as he lead me to a different room. "look i know we haven't spoken in a while.." he sighed. "lucas please," i freed my wrist and walked backwards. "royal," he muttered.

"i can't lucas," i sighed. he walked closer to me,his tail dropping. "i'm sorry," i said and run off. tears flooded my eyes and made my vision blurry. i couldnt see where i was going or if anyone was in my way,not until i made contact with someone. "look where your going!" they yelled when we steadyed ourselves. the tears had dropped onto my cheeks and made my vision clear. "i-i'm so sorry," i bowed. "hey,you the new kid,royal?" they asked. i looked up and admired their beauty. their ears pointed and their spotted tail swayed from side to side. "y-yeah i am," i said,straightening myself. she was taller than me. "im diamond," she smiled.

"hey why are you crying?" she asked when i wiped my eyes. "it's complicated," i managed to say. new tears replaced the old and i broke down. "hey it's okay," she reassured me. "it's not," i said slidding down the wall i was leaning against.

. once i reached the floor i began to play with my tail,a habbit i have when im upset. the girl shrunk to where i was and sat down. "you can tell me," she said,calmly. her brown hair covered her right emerald eye. she smiled slightly. i tried to return the smile but began crying again. "look at me," she said. i looked over to her and she smiled again. "im your friend now,you can tell me," she smiled. "okay," i whispered.

"you know lucas?" i asked. she nodded silently. "well,we have a history," i sighed. "history?" diamond repeated. "we've known each other since we were kids," i explained. "we grew up in the same neighbourhood and went to the same school." "however six years ago,everything changed,"i went on. "changed how?" she asked. i sat up and turned to her. "well,at this point we had ben dating for about a year i think," i sighed, "but theres was this girl who adored lucas, and obviously hated me," i added. "so when we got our forms and everyone was a hybrid, i just got tiger," i sighed,playing with my striped tail again. diamond listened so i carried on. "this girl," i went on. "the one who liked lucas?" diamond asked. "yeah her," i answered. "she was an alpha," i carried on. "when she knew how much power she had,she abused it," i explained. "what do you mean?" she questioned. "well, we each get gifts right?" i said. "mhm?" diamond nodded. "hers was to make anyone to fall inlove with her,and when she made them love her,they would become her servents," i chuckled to myself. "she used it on lucas?" she guessed. "yeah," i laughed. "but when she controlled him,he was crazy," i smiled. "crazy how?" she asked. i lifted up my shirt slightly to show the scars on my lower ribs. "he did that?" she growled. "under her control,yes," i addmited. "she made him do that,but how did she manage to control him?" she asked. "well for her to make people fall inlove with her,she has to kiss them," i sighed. "he cheated on you!" she yelled. "shhh," i quietened. "no,not exactly, she forced the kiss,"i explained. "she made him hurt me,but her power doesnt blind the person," i went on again. "her power allows her to control them while they can see what they are doing but not do anything about it," i breathed. "so he knew what he was doing-" she started. "but couldnt do anything to stop it," i continued for her. "well how is he normal now?" she asked. "his mom," i explained further, "she has the power to delete others powers." "he's been trying to make up for it for four years, but i moved two years ago, this is the first time we've saw each other," i laughed and let my tail slide of my palm. "i want to trust him, i do," i went on,the tears coming back. "but i can't help it, i don't want to get close to him just for someone to hurt us again," i cried. "what's going on?" a voice behind me asked.
