"He's coming! He's coming! Please, somebody, help!!!" Katelyn cried. She was walking down the street when the man with the black coat appeared; his collar flipped up covering whatever of his face he had left.

Katelyn had seen this man many times before. It was never pleasant. It seems as though he appears when she least expects it. And he dissappears just as fast and gracefully as he came. So she ran like she has never ran before.

"Katie? Katie!"

Katelyn tossed her head back and forth trying to locate where that sound was coming from. The world was spinning and her neck seemed weaker and weaker every time she blinked. The alley she was now in was dark and dull, lit up by one ghetto streetlight in the row of broken lamps. She was dizzy and could barely keep her balance.

"Time's up." said the man in the black coat.

It was like one part of her was urging her to turn around and look at him but the more sensible part was telling her to keep very still and don't even look. She turned around.

She went from bad to worst in a matter of milliseconds. Her nausea overcame her and she slowly collapsed.

He's got me. He's gonna kill me. This is the end. But wait....

"Katie! Get up!"

Katelyn awoke to the sound of her mother's frantic voice. She was sweating like crazy and her heart was pumping faster than when she finished her first marathon last year.

"Wa...What happened?" Katelyn asked.

" You had one of those nightmares again" her mother replied.

Katelyn has had nightmares of a man in a black coat chasing her to unfamiliar places every night for the past month. Every time she would wake up in a cold sweat or screaming. Her mom would listen for screams or the bed creaking from Katie tossing and turning from her engaging nightmares.

But tonight's gonna be different.
