So now one month later Katelyn still has these frightening dreams every night. The man with the coat appears, scares her, chases her to unknown territory, and she wakes up.
The doctor says she just has a very vivid imagination and that causes her to have these dreams. Katelyn takes her doctor's word for it at first, but she soon realizes this isn't anything normal when her mom has a little conversation with her about when she was younger.
" When you we're first born, I knew something was wrong. The umbilical cord was wrapped around your neck and choking you. This happens often to many babies but the way it was wrapped around seemed unusual. Almost as if it had been put there by someone else rather than it being an accident. I felt something negative lingering around the room. I thought it was just because I just gave birth but then I saw a man with a black coat standing outside the door looking through the little window. He left when I looked at him and I never saw him again."
" Weird.." she said.
Katelyn lay in bed wondering why only now this mysterious man revisits her family. She had so many questions that couldn't be answered like who is he, where did he come from, what did he want. This bothered her enough to try and see a therapist but that came with unhelpful results. All the therapist ever did was nod her head and take notes. Whenever Katelyn would ask for her input she would have nothing to say.
So she kept to herself and never mentioned any of these happenings or her dreams to anyone anymore. Katelyn just wondered what would happen to her and her family next.
