After a few moments, Leona slowly opened his eyes, finding himself lying on the ground. He blinked, trying to shake off the remnants of the dream that had felt so real.
As he sat up, he couldn't help but reflect on the dream that had resonated with him during his slumber.
"No matter how hard I study, no matter how powerful the magic I command... From the day I was born till the day that I die, no one will ever acknowledge that I'm better than my brother, I will never be king."
He let out a sigh, feeling the weight of those thoughts pressing down on him once again. But then, a gentle voice spoke, breaking through the gloom that had settled over his heart.
"Why do you say such things?"
Leona turned his head, searching for the source of the voice, but could not see anyone nearby. "Who's there?" he called out, his voice tinged with curiosity.
The voice continued, unfazed by Leona's confusion. "I understand how you feel. It's tough when it seems like you're always in the shadow of someone else, constantly striving to prove yourself. But remember, your worth isn't defined by being better than your brother or anyone else. You have your own unique strengths and abilities."
Leona furrowed his brow, the words of the mysterious voice stirring something within him. "But... why can't I be acknowledged for who I am? Why can't I be the best?"
A comforting hand gently rested on Leona's shoulder, though he still couldn't see the person who was speaking to him. "You don't have to be a king to be respected and admired. Your kindness, intelligence, and unwavering support for those you care about make you a remarkable person. Don't let the judgments of others define your self-worth."
Leona absorbed those words, feeling a sincere warmth spreading throughout his heart. The presence beside him reached out and gently touched his hand.
"You're not alone, Leona. We're all in this together. Let's find our own paths and prove that we can rise above the expectations placed upon us."
As the voice faded away and the world around him began to regain its clarity, Leona found himself being surrounded by Crowley and the dorm students. He looked at them, his head still throbbing with residual pain.
"W-What?" Leona stammered, trying to process the situation unfolding before him.
Crowley, the headmage of Night Raven College, stood in front of him, his arms crossed. "Mr. Kingscholar, your negative energies accelerated your blot accumulation, leading to an overblot episode. Do you not remember?"
Leona's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait, me...? I overblotted? No way..." He struggled to comprehend the revelation, the weight of his actions sinking in.
Divus, who had been observing the scene with a disappointed expression, shook his head. "Bad pups, I can't believe it. And for someone else, I must say he is quite early." Divus's words were directed at the specific individual who had witnessed the events unfold.
Crowley, feeling offended by Divus's comment, quickly went to his side and retorted, "I am the headmage of Night Raven College, and I have a lot of things I need to deal with! By the way, where is Suz-chan?"
"WE FORGOT SUZ?!" Yuu's voice rang out in panic, the realization hitting her like a brick. "We forgot to inform Suz that we're here!" Ace and Deuce joined in her sudden realization, their expressions filled with guilt. "Oh no, how could we forget?"
Divus, not one to tolerate such carelessness, swiftly smacked their heads with the teaching pointer. "Bad pups! Don't cause a ruckus here! Look over there, all of you!" He pointed in the direction where Suz was diligently bandaging the injured students.
