Chapter 1

What the heck happened, where am I?

I woke up in a forest of trees and vines, I was sitting next to a tree stump, I look around, to see a leather backpack and a chest.

I stand up and decide to open the chest first, suddenly there's a bright light and loads of items drop to the ground, I examined to items on the ground.

A spear, two daggers, armour, a map, a compass, a pouch, some black coins and a book.

The book truly intrigued me, but I hold it off for now as I quickly equip the armour and the weapons, cause if there is a need for armour, there must be something it is protecting me against, and that "something" can appear anytime.

After equipping the equipment, I make my way to the book, it has a leather finish and I can see a pen attached to it, along with a strap that I suppose that it makes it so I can attach it to my belt. I think.

Enough thinking, time to open the book.

Wait, let me get this straight(which I am not), I got isekai-ed into another world by falling asleep in class, well at least no trucks were involved, but seriously, you expect me, a 16-year-old slack, to save this world, unbelievable, literally!

Wow, I guess picking street fights all the time and drawing in class was a good decision. Wait, "Quick learn" What does that do, like does it allow me to learn things quicker, or is it instantly, I'll figure it out later.

I decide to stop reading for now and see what the backpack has to offer, but instead of it evaporating into light, it let me open it, I quickly scan through what's in the bag.

A lot of dried beef jerky, a water bottle, a hatchet, a hammock, a blanket, a pouch filled with black coins, a lamp, a towel, a first aid kit, a flint and steel and a jacket.

well, it seems that the entire survival kit from the textbook is here, wow.

I wore the jacket and put the extra black coins in the pouch with the others, then set off in one random direction, as I have no idea where the heck am I.

I decide to continue reading the book as I have nothing to do but walk.

While reading I realise some things.

The black coins are called plates, it is the international currency, and 1 plate equals about 2 UKD. People can acquire plates by working jobs or killing monsters.

There is an unknown force sending monsters into this world.

Quick Learning is a ski–

I was interrupted by a screeching noise.

What are those, goblins, I thought goblins were green and about to size of a 6-year-old, not an adult.

But there was no time to think, their already charging at me, swiftly grab my spear and slashed its head off, it flopped to the ground and suddenly evaporated into plates and a rock-stone thing.

I collect the plates and decide to put the stone in the other pouch.

I keep walking, and then I see what seems to be an outpost of those strange goblins, all well, since I already tested out my spear a bit, I'm going to use my daggers to slaughter these things, I sprint towards the outpost, going in every nook and cranny killing everything in sight, until there was nothing left, when I look back at everything, it is littered with plates and stones.

God, it's gonna take a while to pick up.

I sigh and start to collect all the drops.

After about 20 minutes, I was almost done, I just have to collect the drops from the guards at the entrance, I was picking up the plates when I was done with the last 50 plates that needed to be collected when suddenly I see a man run and snatch the last 50 plates,

"Hey, what the heck!" I shouted and ran after him,

I sprinted and slammed him against a tree, putting my spear against his throat,

"Hey, what's going on?" I hear someone say,

I then see a group of 4 people run towards us, for a moment we all just stand there, staring at each other, until one of them speaks up,

"Hey how about we calm down," they say,

"How about no!" I yell back still enraged,

"Just, let go of our captain, and we can talk this out." she proposes,

"I don't think you realise who is holding a spear towards your captain's throat, and if he's your captain, then you all must be a group of thieves." I reject their proposal,

"Thieves, we're not thieves," she explained,

"Then explain why this asshole stole the plates dropped by the monster I killed!" I ask for them to explain, they looked a bit shocked, and looked at the man they call Captain,

"Kageru, give them back the plates you stole," they said to the man sternly, then the man dropped all the plates he had held in his shirt, I then let him go,

"Thank you, you just saved me a lot of trouble and a lot of bloodsheds," I said to them before they ran away, I then quickly picked up all the plates then walked towards the direction they ran in.

After about 3 hours of walking the sun was about to set, when I saw a sign, it read
