Chapter 21

You're coming me?" Hoseok asked.

Taehyung sat staight in his position, his back digged in the couch and spine erect. His eyes still stared at Jungkook's unreadable face, who sat there besides Hoseok, perhaps ready to set free from him. Why wouldn't he? Afterall he had treated him like trash, although he was the reason Jungkook was getting better but believe it or not Taehyung found himself the reason for the younger's misery. He had for sure not talked to him for a while and spent time with him, saying he didn't want him to stress because of his useless businesses. And even after all this he wanted the younger to choose him? What was he thinking?

Taehyung scolded himself yet hoped that the younger would stay with him, if not he would find some way to make him stay he will tell everything he was hiding from him from the drug deals to diamond exports to his murders and everything in between, even that stupid cut on his waist.

Jungkook looked back at Taehyung to find any answers from the older. In response he got nothing but a desperate look from Taehyung. Jungkook could swear, he had never seen that vulnerable look on his face. He thought the worst thing for Taehyung was not getting strawberry shake but this was something more.

Jungkook waited for Taehyung to say something, atleast a 'not now' in his cold mafia voice. But here comes nothing, the dumb mafia kept looking at him with his teddy bear eyes and  gulped.

"Thank you Hyung" He replied.

He could see how Taehyung's eyes started filling with tears and he immediately looked down at the carpet to avoid being seen. Jungkook felt the familiar heaviness in his chest. Yes, the one he feels when he ends to upsetting the older but this time he was doing it on purpose.

"I would love to come with you."

Oh the regret, Taehyung just wanted to bury himself alive on the place. Why does he have to be this stupid? Why couldn't he care to take some more advice from his secretary? How would he survive now? Back to the lifeless times now? Missions, meetings and work? No talking, no smiling, no cuddles, no laughter.. just him, alone, once again...  All these thoughts were running in his mind in milliseconds with the speed of light .

"But my studies and all, I will have to stay here, I guess." He said.

Yes he had met Taehyung a couple of years ago and he knew Hoseok since he was born and Hoseok took care him like his younger brother all along from every threat out there in the world exept of what was inside his own house. But had seen that fragile child in Taehyung who wasn't ready to be left alone again.

Taehyung's eyes looked up at him but this time the tears had turn into sparkles of hope.

"And also Hyung would be all alone so.."
He added.

After that he and Hoseok talked about a few things, how he regretted about everything his parents did and whatever nonsense he had said to Jungkook at the mall. He also accepted that he was so ashamed  that it took him so long to gain the courage to face him.

Everytime Jungkook turned he could see Taehyung staring at him with a small smile. He exchanged numbers with Hoseok when the older was ready to leave.

Jungkook and Taehyung followed Hoseok to the door. Hoseok hugged Jungkook one last time.
"Take care of yourself okay?" Jungkook nodded on his chest and hugged him back.

They parted and Hoseok turned to Taehyung.

"Taehyung?"
He said looking staight in his eyes.

"You know how Softhearted he is right? You are the only person he trusts after me. He trusts you more than me. He is way too pure for the world. If you want it or not, it is your responsibility to protect and care of him." He said

"Don't worry about anything." Taehyung replied.

"And Guggie, call me everyday okay." Jungkook noticed how his voice shifted from serious to cheerful.

He replied with a 'I will' Hoseok finally left the house not before waving a bye to them. Jungkook watched him disappear on the street and closed the door.

He locked the door and turned back to get to his room without looking at Taehyung.

Suddenly he was held back by a grip on his wrist, before he could get it Taehyung engulfed him in a hug.

"Leave me." Jungkook said  hitting on his chest trying to free himself.

To his response Taehyung tightened his hold around his waist.

"Stay" He whispered.

"Should've said it when Hobi hyung asked" Jungkook said pushing his hand on Taehyung's chest.

"P-please" Jungkook heard him whisper. The tone of his voice was stronger than the word itself. He was not asking him, not pleading him, in a word the mafia had literally begged him to stay.

It took him a while to notice the rate of Taehyung's heartbeat close to his heart. The pace that the others heart ran made his own cardiac muscles tense.

He felt Taehyung's hand on his right hand. Taehyung grabbed his wrist bringing it down from his legs. Taehyung circled his other arms around Jungkook's and slid both of their hand inside his T-shirt.

Jungkook's hand came in contact with some fabric larger than the size of his palm. No, it was not just some fabric, it was a bandage, and a large one. That was when it hit him. That was how much Taehyung was hurt, it might be some huge cut  that  was covered by the bandage.

He wondered how Taehyung stood there, didn't it hurt him. Of course it did silly. And even after that he left in the morning, perhaps without eating. And over that what did Jungkook do with him? Ignored him, shouted at him and said all those stupid things to him. Still here here Taehyung was begging him to stay. For what? No reason at all.

Here's another author's note you can ignore:

It's hard to write when you and your characters both know you're being stupid.

The last chapters were based on Taehyung showering his love on Jungkook to make him open up and know his rights. And the next few chapters will be a total different story of Taehyung's struggle with the real Jungkook fighting for his rights.
