October, Nine Years & Five Months Since the Release of Antler Queen

Interviews all start to seem the same after a while, at least that is what Natalie's manager always likes to reassure her with by saying. Whether it be previous work, questions about previous work, or new questions about what's upcoming. Natalie was a natural, all calm answering the questions up until the last question.

"Few months from now will be a decade since the release of your single Antler Queen, an extraordinary duo with Charlotte Matthews! Are you planning anything special to celebrate? Maybe an anticipated collaboration that the fans have been dying for?" the interviewer sounded very bubbly as most of them are.

Natalie has been asked about Charlotte at least every interview of every single yearly anniversary. Her manager and team had always advised her on a correct response, that she has no busness discussing company matters.

The 'correct response' does not come out of Natalie's lips. She had the picture of Lottie in her head, that condescending look, giving those awful taunts about her music.

" Antler Queen is undeniably overrated, and I honestly prefer to never hear Charlotte Matthews voice again for the rest of my fucking life. "

To say the least, the interview goes viral almost immediately.

January, One Year & Four Months Until the Release of Antler Queen

Charlotte does not know how she actually agreed on being here, this low-class bar was not really where she would frequently go to, however she was here to scout fresh recruits for Yellow Jacket Records, also known as YJR nowadays. She didn't understand why her father would suggest such a place to look for people, yet again she wasn't one to really care for what her dad's ideas are.

She stayed at a table far from the stage, avoiding people bumping into her. It was a small crowd yet they were all rowdy, the stage was filled with talentless people singing songs from the actual artists of YJR, which she found to be horrible covers to her poor ears.

She ordered a small cocktail, that remained untouched as she was watching the performances, wishing she could just go home rather than listen to this, but she decided to have some patience. She watched, listened, and observed the performances as told to do.

A trio showed up on the stage, all three were familiar faces. They were some amateur rock band that called themselves Blood Hive.

She had already read about them in the file left by her father, so she was already up to date. She found it almost cute, how they throw on leather jackets and heavy makeup like that makes them dark and mature.

The lead singer, who's name is Kevin sings off-tune every time and does not have the best singing voice. The background guitarist, Jacob, wasn't all that good either... it didn't flow together at all. Not to mention the electric pianist, Natalie, was clumsily tapping the keyboard.

Honestly, amongst the three of them none of them seemed worth scouting. Mediocrity had no place in YJR.

Charlotte clicked the pen she was holding, clicking in and out of it, thinking for a second before she crossed out the names and closed her file, sighing as she organized her papers getting ready to go out—

until she heard some sort of commotion. The crowd wants to listen to one more song from them, a song from YJR.

Now here's one thing about this edgy band, they did not like songs from the YJR for some odd reason, maybe because Kevin got rejected when he applied for the first time. After Kevin kept strongly refusing, Natalie got up and started to try and reason with him, though she seemed obviously mad that he was being extremely stubborn.
