Midnight Rain (Meerasim TS)

Chapter 1

Everybody was having lunch together during the afternoon time.

Murtasim finished eating and said "Maa begum I've got some work to be done in the village so I will go at evening and will be back by tomorrow morning."

Maa begum stopped him and said "Don't go alone, take someone with you atleast." Then she moved her gaze towards Meerab and asked "Meerab do you mind accompanying Murtasim to Village?"

Meerab shook her head.

Murtasim smirked "Ok Meerab get ready and come out. I'll be waiting for you in the car."

After some time Meerab came dressed up in a yellow suit looking adorable.

She opened the door of the car and sat beside him seeing Muartasim awestruck at her.

Meerab patted on his shoulder and said "Come on, let's go now."

Murtasim back to his senses and said " Oh yes."

Meerab looked in all the other directions and asked "Is it only the two of us going to Village? I don't see any other cars around."

"Yeah only the two of us, it's a small work, we'll be back by tomorrow morning." Murtasim started driving.

After reaching a little distance Meerab said "Murtasim the weather doesn't seem suitable, we should go some other day." Winds were blowing and the situation seemed not so easy.

"Meerab we have reached halfway through and things will be fine. It's just a minor blow of wind." Murtasim convinced her.

"I don't feel really comfortable Murtasim." She looked out of the window and the sky was black. And soon they heard the tapping of rain on the car.

Murtasim quickened his pace as the clouds began to gather in the sky.

Meerab held Muartasim's arms and said "Murtasim slow down a bit. It's too dark outside, I don't feel good "

He immediately pressed the brakes and said "Going any further could be really dangerous. It seems like the rain would be really disastrous."

Loud and flashing lightning lighted up the sky and it felt like the clouds will collapse on their car.

"Meerab we should wait here for sometime till the weather gets better." He looked around for some place to stay at.

Meerab pointed her finger towards a cottage which was pretty close to them and said "Come on Murtasim let's go and see if we could stay there."

Murtasim nodded and moved his car towards that cottage and parked it there.

Meerab started feeling uneasy and grabbed Muartasim's arm for support. He comforted her and caressed her hair and they went towards the cottage which was more like a small hut made up of wood, leaves , mud, etc. When they opened the door and peeped in there was no one.

Murtasim said "It seems like nobody stays here and is made out of convenience by someone. We should stay here tonight."

It was a sort of small hut, where nobody else was present.
Meerab gripped his hand tightly because she started feeling unconscious.

She kept her head on his shoulders and he made her sit down.

He cupped her face and said "Hey it's alright. I am with you. We'll go from here after some time when the weather outside gets better. Don't worry."

She slowly said "Muartasim I need water. I feel a little thirsty."

He nodded and started looking around for some water. His eyes fell upon a bottle and he ran towards that and brought it for her to drink.
