'Hunting ceremony'(unedited)
As I came back to the hunting ceremony, my eyes scanned the crowd, searching for familiar faces. And there, amidst the sea of people, I caught sight of him.
Ryan-
I felt my heart race with excitement as I caught sight of Ryan amidst the bustling crowd.
I couldn't help but be entranced by his tousled hair, dancing with the breeze, framing his handsome face.
I couldn't help but keep my gaze fixed on him, completely captivated by his remarkable presence.
'How can one be so-'
As I was lost in my thoughts, my gaze absentmindedly fixed upon Ryan, I was suddenly jolted back to reality by Jenny's voice.
Startled, I turned towards her, her disapproving eyes fixed upon me.
"Are you done daydreaming, your highness?" she asked with a hint of annoyance in her tone.
"You've been weaving that handkerchief for ages. Who do you plan to give it to?"
Being caught off guard, I blinked and stammered, struggling to gather my thoughts.
"Oh, um, well, I haven't really thought about it," I replied, my mind still lingering on the image of Ryan.
Jenny crossed her arms, her impatience evident.
"Well, you better decide soon. The ceremony is approaching, and every knight is expected to choose a lady. What will you do if His highness doesn't choose you?"
I sighed and shook my head, attempting to regain my focus.
"Ah, don't worry about it, Jenny. I'm sure everything will work out,"
I replied absentmindedly, my mind already drifting back to Ryan's captivating presence.
I could feel annoyed, Jenny huffing and turning away, muttering something under her breath.
I knew she disliked my distracted state, but in that moment, all my thoughts were too consumed by the allure of Ryan.
As I sat alone, thinking of the ceremony, I couldn't help but ponder Jenny's words.
She was right, after all. Noah, Andre, and Ryan were all knights, and the chances of any of them choosing me seemed slim.
I sighed, feeling a tinge of disappointment wash over me.
As I was immersed in my thoughts, a sudden voice jolted me back to reality.
Startled, I nearly toppled off my chair, my heart racing with surprise.
Edgar stood before me, an unexpected presence that caught me off guard.
"Did I scare you that much?" he asked, his expression mirroring my own shock. His words held a hint of amusement, as if he found my reaction rather entertaining.
"Well, it looks like someone has nothing to do," I retorted, my tone laced with irritation.
Edgar nodded, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips.
"It seems so. So, entertain me," he challenged, as if he expected me to entertain him like some sort of jester.
I looked at him, visibly annoyed. But before I could respond,
Ryan approached, his hands extending towards Edgar, grasping firmly.
" I think you should respect her highnesses boundaries ,Sir Edgar"
