"T-Then how can I finish it off?" Tanjiro asked the strange man that approached the trio.
"Don't trust what others say. Can't you finish this riddle yourself?" The strange man tried to get the boy to think of an answer on his own.
The man wore a blue haori with clouds scattered all over it, along with flowing water. There was a red tengu mask covering his face, and there was a white cloth over his head.
Tanjiro seemed to be thinking hard. After a while, he walked up to a heavy stone on the ground and picked it up.
He came back to the head of the demon and just stood there, having second thoughts. (Y/N) looked around, and saw that the sun was about to come up. He quickly ushered Nezuko inside the shrine to shield her from sunlight.
"Oh! While I was wasting time, the sun had come up!" Tanjiro exclaimed in shock. He turned his head back to the demon after he heard it scream. While screaming, the demon got lit on fire and slowly started burning away, screaming in agony.
"Just a touch of sunlight did that?! No wonder Nezuko fears it!" Tanjiro yelled in his mind.
(Y/N) slowly came out of the shrine, carrying Nezuko's basket.
"Damn, that must've hurt if he screamed like that. Anyways, can I carry Nezuko now?" The (H/C) haired male smiled at his friend.
"Sure, you can, but don't drop her please! Oh yeah, that man.." Tanjiro trailed off, looking in the strange man's direction. He somehow buried all the bodies already and was praying.
When he was done, he got up and walked over to the duo. He started a conversation by introducing himself.
"I am Sakonji Urokodaki. You two must be the ones Giyu told me about." He said.
"Y-Yes. I'm Tanjiro Kamado. This is (Y/N) (L/N). And my sister is Nezuko Kamado." (Y/N) waved at the man.
"Very well. I'll be testing you two to see if you have what it takes to become a demon slayer swordsman." Urokodaki stated, starting to walk, then took off, running.
"He didn't even warn us!" (Y/N) exclaimed, surprised. "Come on, Tanjiro! We gotta catch up!"

The three males have been running for the past 30 minutes. Urokodaki was at least 10 meters in front of the two boys, running fast enough so the two won't be left behind.
"He's fast!" (Y/N) puffed out.
"Yeah! And his footsteps don't give off any sound either!" Tanjiro said in between pants.
"Just hang in there Nezuko! We're almost there!" (Y/N) yelled to the demon girl in the basket on his back.

They finally arrived at the foot of Mt. Sagiri. There was a small wooden cabin, presumably Urokodaki's house.
"S-So.. did we.. pass the test?" Tanjiro wheezed, completely out of breath.
(Y/N) was on his knees, hands on the ground in front of him. He could've passed out any moment there. "I'm.. n-not really.. used.. to run with... something on my b-back..." He complained in between pants.
"The real test begins now. Climb the mountain." Urokodaki stated, motioning for (Y/N) to go in and put the basket and Nezuko down. He did as he was told.

The three were pretty far up the mountain when Urokodaki suddenly turned to the two boys.
