☀️🌊Chapter 3☀️🌊

Maisie POV
I ran in up to my ankles and realized it was very cold, so I stayed there for a bit and eventually went in up to my calves. I heard Cam call my name, so I turned around and smiled and waved as she took a picture of me. As my body got used to the chilly water, I sat down so that my stomach was under water, but the waves didn't quite hit me. I slowly began slipping into little space and started splashing around in the water, but I didn't notice that the tide had started to come in and the waves were getting bigger. The water was up to my chest now, but I found a really pretty shell, so I didn't really care. I kept grabbing shells and rocks to bring back to Cam and Luke and all of the sudden, a huge wave hit me and I went under. I inhaled a big gulp of water and wriggled around, trying to get loose from the grip of the ocean, then I felt 2 hands grab me and pull me up. It was Cam and she looked scared.
"Maisie, oh my god, baby are you ok?" She hoisted me into her arms and brought me back to my towel. I looked at her with wide eyes and started crying. I was scared, water boarded, and what's even worse is that I lost all of my pretty shells and rocks!! Cam wrapped me with another towel and sat me in her lap, rocking me back and forth. I nuzzled my face in her chest, letting my sobs subside. I heard her rustle through my bag and then felt the rubber tip of my paci in my mouth. I looked up at her, shocked.
"What is it, baby?"
"L-luke." I managed to get out.
"Luke knows, baby, and he's perfectly fine with you being just the way you are, now take your paci for me darling, ok?"
"Ok, Cammie."
I let her slip my paci into my mouth and turned to face her chest again. We sat like this for a while, until Cam broke away and asked if I was feeling better. I nodded and sat up on my own. She got up and got some sandwiches for all 3 of us, mine cut into squares of course. We were mostly silent, eating our sandwiches, until Luke said,
"Are you little or big right now, love?"
I, a little taken aback, shrugged and said,
"Dunno."
He paused and the continued despite my unclear answer.
"Ok, well I just wanted to say that you were very brave out there and you did such a good job and I'm so glad that you're ok, sweetie."
I blushed and said
"Fanks, Wukey."
Cam smiled at the 2 of us and then came over and pulled the other sand toys out of my bag.
"Do you wanna make some sandcastles with Luke and I, baby girl?"
I threw my arms in the air and shouted,
"Es pease!!"
Cam and Luke laughed and got out of their chairs and joined me in the sand. Luke started digging up sand and Cam went down to the water to fill up the buckets. I went with her to collect little shells and rocks, but only the ones washed up out of the water. We played for hours and then decided it was time to go home. I packed up my toys while Cam and Luke folded up chairs and put away the umbrella and we set out back to the car. Luke helped me get in the car and then stood watch while Cam helped me change out of my bathing suit into my change of clothes. I got all buckled in with my iPad and paci and as soon as we hit the road, I was fast asleep.

Cam POV
I looked at Maisie fast asleep in the backseat and smiled at Luke.
"She really likes you, y'know?"
"You really think so?"
"Definitely, babe! Did you hear her call you Lukey?"
"Yeah."
Luke blushes and focuses on driving. I keep talking.
"I think I want her to be ours. Are you ok with that?"
Luke smiled so wide at me.
"Of course. I love her almost as much as I love you, babe. I want you both in my life."
I smiled at him and leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. I stole a glance back at Maisie again and pushed her paci back into her mouth.
"I love you, babygirl. and I love you too, my Lukey."
