➤ chapter iii. | reunion?

Dan Heng and [Y] took a stroll on the spaceship. The taller male realized that the raven haired male was quiet during their stroll, so he decided to break the ice, "You seem awfully quiet. Did something trigger you?"

Dan Heng snapped out of his thoughts, "Ah. No. It's nothing like that. Really."

"You haven't made eye contact with me. Did I upset you?" [Y] frowned.

"No, it's nothing like that. Sorry for my rude behavior..." the raven haired male apologized. The taller male chuckled, "No worry. I don't mind the silence, however I really want to talk to you."

"...I know I invited you to stay a little while longer, but...I don't think I have anything to talk to you about." Dan Heng frowned. "I just somehow want you to stand with me a little longer...Even if it's his¹ memory of him, I still feel...warm..."

"If you're feeling anxious, then perhaps we should-"

"No. I just don't know how I wanna start the conversation..." The raven haired male mumbled, scratching the back of his head. "Ahem. You seem to know how to manipulate cherry blossoms. How did you do it?"

"Not sure. However, it's just that cherry blossoms are a part of me. From what I remember, I was born from a drop of a cherry blossom." [Y] explained. "Seems unbelievable, but it happens. It's odd that a cherry blossom like myself had a physical form."

"...You can grow the cherry blossom tree, right?" Dan Heng questioned.

"Of course. I can certainly feel the tree somewhere far from this spaceship. A tree where I was born from." The taller male looking out at the stars in space. "I feel another tree somewhere in a different location. However, my main focus is the bigger tree that grows in that exact spot."

"Are you heading to Xianzhou Luofu? That's your destination?" Dan Heng asked.

"That's the one. It's just that the place seems familiar. I wonder if there's someone I might know."

"..." The raven haired male stares at the taller male for a brief moment before speaking, "Perhaps, there's someone you know. Someone who would be happy to see you again after so long. You probably won't recognize them, but they'll help you.'

"Ah. You are indeed right, Dan Heng. Thank you." [Y] smiled fondly. "I sure hope I'll be able to remember everything."

"..." Dan Heng frowned. "It's best...if you don't remember everything. You don't know if it might hurt you."

[Y] blinked owlishly, "Oh? Did I do something wrong in the past?"

"It's just a hunch..." The raven haired male mumbled, rubbing his arm. The taller male seemed to notice Dan Heng's expression then let out a soft sigh, "You are correct. Perhaps I don't need to know everything. Best to be careful not to get hurt. Thanks for the heads-up."
