Maya's Promise

Chapter 2

We were walking in silence for neither of us had anything to say to the other. We had just met so we really don't know much to anything about each other.
"So this is the auditorium where all the events take place " I am then cut off by the sound of him chuckling.
"Why are you laughing?"

"You're really taking me on a tour of the school?" I was confused, was this boy serious?
"Isn't that obvious, I was told to give you a tour."

"Do you always do what you're told?"
What is this dude's problem.
I continue walking and ignoring him, he then walks up to me and holds my hand.
"Okay, how about you take me on a tour?"

"Thats what I'm trying to do"
I'm convinced that this boy is stupid.
"No, I've been through this school already, how about you take me on a tour around town, show me some good places"
"Half an hour won't get you a full trip."
"Okay since you insist pick me up at 6"
Ohh so he thinks he's smooth.
"How about I take you on a tour of the school like I was told to do and you can go play with yourself at 6" I said slightly irritated by his cockiness but also slightly turned on.
"Why would I play with myself when I have you?" He replied with a smile on his perfectly sculpted face.
"Why would I -" I was then interrupted by my 'freind' Caitlyn.
"Hi Maya, long time no see" I really don't like this girl
"Hey Caitlyn, what's up?" we then hug much to my dismay. She then turns to John, ofcourse that's why she came over here. She then did the typical Caitlyn thing by flashing a smile and flipping her hair.
"Hi, I'm Caitlyn, are u new? " of course he's new, she has slept with the entire male population if she doesn't know him then he's new or she was too drunk or too high to remember.
"Yes I am, I just transfered here" He said.
"Oh so how about I show you around town later? If that's alright with you" she is so hoeful, yes she's a full on HOE.
I then interrupted
"Actually I was going to take him on a tour "
"Its fine, you didn't want to go anyway" he said which made me so upset but not because I like him, WHICH I DONT but because I really don't like her.
" Okay see you Later" she said to John
" And it was nice seeing you again Maya" she is such a nuisance.
"Bye Caitlyn hope you get aids" I said with a huge grin.
"What?"
"I said, bye Caitlyn I hope you stay safe"
I said with the same expression. She then walked away, Finally.
I then turned to John who had a smirk on his face.
"What?" I said confused to why he was grinning.
"You just met me and your already jealous when another girl talks to me" that is so absurd.
"You are such a d- " the bell then cut me off.
"Saved by the bell" I said while walking away as fast as possible.
I then proceeded to my other classes and turns out he's in 3 of my other classes. I was just waiting and praying for school to end and the bell to ring.
And soon enough my prayers were answered.

I went to the the bank to deposit some money. When I walked in I saw the one person I was trying to avoid the entire day. I've been living in this area for 12 years and I haven't see my neighbors more than six times total so why Am I seeing this boy so much? He spotted me as I walked through the bank doors.
"Hey Maya" John said but I ignored him.
" You could have replied, didn't your mother teach you manners" he said which made me so angry. Usually I'm not easily upset but the moment he brought my mother into this he crossed the line.
"Actually John she didn't get to teach me much manners because she was too busy being dead!" I said angrily causing eyes to wander my way. I then joined a line and took deep breaths to calm myself down until I felt a hand touch my arm.
" I'm sorry I didn't know" said John.
" Just leave me alone, OK."
I then turn around and accidentally bounce into a man who grins at me.
" Aren't you just a beauty " the man said to me, with a perverted smile, he looked like he was 30.
" Aren't you just a pedophile" I replied and walked away only to be followed by John.
"Im not the only one that recognizes your beauty "
"Don't you get that I don't want to talk to you? "
" But I want to talk to you" at this point he's starting to annoy me.
" Why don't you go talk to someone who gives a F about what you want?" I walk away but he doesn't follow me this time. I then left the bank and headed to my car.
While I was walking to my car I realize what a bitch I was being to the new kid so I turned back and entered the bank.
I walked in only to see everyone on the floor. I hear the door close behind me and a man held me from behind and whispered in my ear through his black ski mask and said " Your not going anywhere beautiful " he then throws me down right beside John.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
TF does he even mean..... there is a man with a gun right effing there of course I'm not ok.
"No, I came to apologize for being a bitch earlier and then I walked into a bank robbery and now I can't breath" I try to catch my breath but at this point it seems impossible. John then turned me towards him and says "Take deep breaths, breath in and out just calm down" Oh yay he told me to breathe, i guess i'll just do that now. Just in case you missed it, I was being sarcastic. I close my eyes and try to focus on my breathing after a while I finally get it under control and then a memory revisits my mind.
"I know who that is " I then open my eyes.
"Who is it?" John asked.

" Its the pedophile," I then jump at the sound of a gun shot and screams.
He shot someone, he actually shot someone.
" I wasn't planning on taking any lives just a lot of money but that didn't sound like much fun"
I was then terrified, for this man wasn't just a pedophile... he was a murderer.
