I walked out of the airport gate seeing a black SUV. Anthony Volpe came around from the driver's seat.
"What's up, my favorite shortstop!" I left my suitcase as I walked to him with open arms.
"Hi, Ari," he laughed hugging me. He grabbed my duffel bag as I went to the suitcase rolling it the car. He opened the trunk, "How was your flight?"
"It was alright except for the annoying kids who wouldn't stop screaming," I shrugged my shoulders.
I got into the passenger seat and he got into the driver seat.
"He doesn't suspect anything right?" I looked over to Anthony.
"Nope, he said he was heading to the ballpark right now," he drove off to the highway.
"Shit." I saw him texting me.
"What?"
"He just texted me. He asked and I quote, 'What are you doing right now?'"
He chuckled,"Just say you are working out."
"Can't, he'll ask for pictures," I frowned.
"Does he actually?" he looked over to me and then back on the road.
I nodded, "I'm just going to say.. um, shopping for makeup. That usually makes him uninterested."
Anthony chuckled again, I plugged my phone into his car. "I'm playing music, is that alright?"
He nodded. I blasted The Weeknd all the way to the ballpark.

"Maggie!" I shouted out seeing her with another woman.
"Arianna!?" she looked confused but happy. I ran over to her giving her a big hug.
"Arianna, this is my daughter, Harley," her daughter waved to me. She had black dark blue hair and thick eyeliner on. She looked rather on the younger side probably around her early twenties.
"So nice to meet you, I love your mom. She's a real one."
"Oh stop it," Maggie chuckled.
"So how do you know my mom?" she asked curiously.
"Well, fortunately, I'm dating Harrison Bader," I shrugged.
"Him?" she pointed over to Anthony who was walking over to us after being stopped by a manager.
"Hey, Maggie!" he greeted.
"No, this is just Anthony," I said bluntly.
"Whoa, what? You called me you're favorite shortstop now I'm "just Anthony'," he acted offended.
I laughed, "Anyways."
"This is my daughter Harley."
Anthony put his hand out for a shake as they shook hands.
They smiled looking at each other for a second.
"Anyways, is anyone going to take me to my boyfriend?" I broke the silence.
"Uh, yes of course. That's why you're here. Follow me," he leads the way, "See you soon Maggie and Har."
"See you guys later!" I shouted out skipping to keep up with Volpe.
We stopped in front of a door that said Visitor's Locker Room.
"Here we are, nervous?" he asked.
"Nope, just excited."
I walked in first and I saw his jaw drop when he looked up. He let go of his phone playfully letting it hit the floor.
"Ariannaaaaa!!" he was so excited, pushing Judge out his way. Aaron tumbled a bit as everyone laughed.
My arms were open as he approached wrapping his arms tightly around me and rocking back and forth.
"I've missed you, you were gone for so long," he mumbled into my shoulder.
"We saw each other like last week," I chuckled.
"That was too long," he pulled back attaching our lips.
"Hey, Ari!" Aaron interrupted as I pulled back from Harrison to go say my hellos to the players.
"So, what made you come to the west coast?" Anthony Rizzo asked politely.
"The beaches," I joked.
"Not me?" Harrison asked with a jokingly pout.
"Nope," I popped the p.
"I should've known I can't compete with the beaches," he came back to me as everyone talked among themselves.
"I'm actually so happy you are here. It was rough doing the MRI while you were across the country," he whispered in my ear.
I turned around looking at him in the eyes, "I'm sorry that I couldn't be there, I feel so b-bad," I started to tear up. I felt one tear fall out as he wiped it with his thumb.
"Hey, you are here now," he widely smiled looking happier than ever.
