As Shea ran away from the prom, Alex's anger towards Tyler reached its peak. He couldn't believe what he had witnessed, and he was determined to confront Tyler about his actions. He followed Shea's path, searching for Tyler amidst the chaos.
ALEX POV
Alex spotted Tyler near the entrance of the venue. He stormed up to him, his fists clenched in anger. "Tyler! What the hell do you think you're doing?" Alex shouted, his voice filled with rage.
Tyler turned to face Alex, his expression defiant. "What's it to you, Alex? Shea's fair game, isn't she?" he retorted, his voice laced with arrogance
Alex's face reddened with fury. "No, she's not. You crossed a line, Tyler. Shea doesn't deserve to be treated like some pawn in your game. You need to learn some respect."
Tyler smirked, his confidence unwavering. "Respect? Please. It's clear that Shea is just another conquest to you. But I don't see why you're so bothered. Weren't you just waiting for your chance to swoop in?"
Alex's eyes narrowed, his anger boiling over. "You have no idea what Shea means to me. Unlike you, I actually care about her. I won't stand by and let you continue to hurt her.
SHEA POV
As I stepped out of the cab and arrived home, a whirlwind of emotions consumed me. Anger, sadness, and even a hint of happiness lingered within me. I couldn't believe that it was Tyler who had kissed me at the prom. I felt a strange mixture of shock and confusion, my mind struggling to make sense of it all.
Tears streamed down my face as I entered my house, feeling the weight of the evening's events crushing upon me. I needed something to calm my racing thoughts, to bring me a moment of solace. Coffee seemed like the perfect remedy
As the doorbell rang, I hurriedly opened it, revealing Alex standing there with a warm smile. My heart skipped a beat, unsure of what he was about to say. "Hey, Shea," he began, his voice filled with a sense of urgency. "I need to talk to you about something really important."
But before he could continue, Alex seemed to change his mind. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he shifted gears, playfully teasing me. "But hey, let's forget about all that for now, alright? No need to dwell on the drama. Let's just be here, in this moment."
I couldn't help but blush at his lighthearted teasing. Alex had always known how to make me smile, even in the midst of confusion and turmoil. He was a good friend, someone I could rely on, and I appreciated his effort to lighten the mood.
He then tilted his head, pretending to ponder something. "You know, Shea, I think I'm a bit thirsty. Could you do me a favor and get me a glass of water?"
His request caught me off guard, but I couldn't help but chuckle. "Sure, Alex. Just give me a moment.
After saying goodnight to Alex, I climbed into bed and closed my eyes. Just then, I received a message from Zoe explaining that she had been in the restroom during the prom incident. I understood that she didn't know what had happened and decided to forgive her.
I replied to Zoe's message, telling her that everything was okay and that I wasn't upset with her. We exchanged a few more messages, feeling relieved that we were still friends and making plans to meet up the next day.
Feeling a sense of closure, I put my phone away and let myself drift off to sleep. I was tired from the events of the day, but now I could rest and recover.
I woke up to the irritating sound of my alarm and went through my usual morning routine. Today, I met up with Zoe, Alex, and Zoe's prom date partner, Liam, at a restaurant. We sat down and had a big breakfast together. Since it was Sunday, I had more time to enjoy the meal and catch up with my parents.
My parents asked me how the prom went and who my date was. I decided to share everything with them, except for the situation involving Tyler. I didn't want to worry them.
We chatted and laughed, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the morning. It was refreshing to spend time with loved ones and talk about lighter topics. The breakfast filled me with warmth and a sense of comfort, reminding me of the importance of family and the support they provided.
As we finished our meal, we made plans for the day ahead. It was a chance to unwind, have fun, and create new memories together. With a renewed spirit, I looked forward to the adventures that awaited us, leaving the worries of the past behind.
Leaving the restaurant with a smile on my face, I felt grateful for the loving people in my life and the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful Sunday.
While hanging out with my friends at the restaurant, I suddenly spotted Tyler. Ugh, talk about bad timing! I tried my best to ignore him and just walk away, but of course, he had to come up to me.
"Hey Shea, I'm really sorry about what went down yesterday," he said, sounding almost genuine. "I know I messed up and took advantage of the whole situation."
I looked at him, my heart racing like crazy. Seriously, why did it have to beat so fast in his presence? I told myself to stay cool, to not let his words get to me too much.
"Yeah, whatever, Tyler," I replied, trying to play it cool. Deep down, though, I was still feeling a bit uncertain and wary.
