You could finally feel the fresh breeze on your skin, although it was winter your school was always uncomfortably crammy and sweaty.
Detention had finally finished, and you and Bill were the first to leave, now walking home.
walking side by side with an earphone in one ear, Bill says with that smile. "Y/n you seem really cool- probably why my brother likes you".
you smile up at him but say "I don't think he does, we spoke for less than a minute- he only asked me where you were".
You notice Bills brow furrow, as if he'd just realised something "Really, he doesn't really speak to people, at our old school it was only me and him."Bill didn't get what you were saying. Tom had only asked where L3 was, that was all right?
You continue to point out different spots on your walk back, showing Bill all the best shops and parks. "Ahaha this park here, me and Maria drank for the first time on that bench" you point laughing, "i remember she fell over right there" Bill chuckles as he looks to you.
"Is Maria the blonde girl you were with outside my class?" He questioned. You'd completely forgotten that Bill was new- probably because there was no awkward tension between the two of you- conversation just kind of flowed.
You'd walked halve way down your street, when Bill turned to you "I'm fine now. i'll find it from here thank you y/n"
He must've thought you were just walking him all the way to his house, the street led to a dead end with only a handful of houses left. Which was funny, although you were just walking to yours.
"that's mine at the very end with the red door," you say continuing walking.
"Ohh right i thought you were walking me to my door". he says playfully shoving you.Just as you reach your house, you wave goodbye to Bill and fumble around in your pockets for a key-
A while later you'd finally found it, somehow it was at the bottom of your bag. Spinning around, checking to see if Bill had left, you notice by the house opposite, him and his brother on the porch.
Rushing inside and slamming the door, you slump down behind it. Realising that they'd probably seen you searching everywhere for your key, it'd been at least 5 minutes.
Then your stricken with the realisation- THEY LIVE NEXT DOOR!!!?
