Warning: some slight racist, derogatory and misogynistic comments from Obadiah towards Toni. I do not agree with this in ANY way. I'm just pointing out how he would react to Toni if she were a woman based on how he treated the male version we know and love.
Chapter One, M.I.T at 13, Friendships and Death
Loki and Dr Strange's magic came to life on the large plasma tv mounted upon the wall of the lounge, as it turned on the black screen read the date and place:
['May 29th 2001, Stark Manor, California', before a stunning manor was shown, (not the one the young Starks grew up in but the one Toni did).]
A moment later a stunning teenage girl, wearing yellow dungaree shorts with orange suns on them and a white crop top underneath, was shown looking almost identical to Anamaria as she raced through the manor calling for both sets of parents excitedly with a letter clasped in her hand, on the corner of which M.I.T could just be seen. "Mum! Dad! Mama! Papi!" Toni cried excitedly, bouncing on her bare feet as she ran.
"Mija? What is it?" A woman asked with a silky voice, she had dark brown wavy hair with chocolate coloured eyes, it was Maria Stark, who appeared in the doorway with an older Ana and Edwin Jarvis. "Édesem?" Ana asked, tucking a strand of hair tenderly behind her ear. "I got into M.I.T!" Toni announced excitedly. "I used Ana's maiden name, Volkov, as I wanted to be accepted for me and my efforts not because I'm a Stark. Is that okay?" "Of course Mija," Maria told her, kissing her forehead, "and if your Father doesn't agree I'll knock some sense into him." Maria teased, making everyone laugh. "I'm so, so proud of you."
"As am I! I have never been so proud of you then I am right now Miss Stark!" Jarvis exclaimed, stumbling a little at the force of Toni's hug. "Oh this is amazing! And a cause for a great Hungarian feast!" Ana exclaimed, clapping her hands with tears in her eyes. "Edwin, I need you to go to the supermarket and pick up some ingredients!" Ana ordered her husband. "Well done sweetie!" She praised kissing Toni's forehead. "Of course my love. I'll leave as soon as I have a list." Edwin Jarvis assured her.
