The next day, Simon and Soap were walking outside, just enjoying the nice weather, when they noticed their Captain quickly going behind the base building. The duo looked at one another, confused. "Should we-?" Ghost started to ask. "We should," John said with a grin. "Alright, it's on your head if we get in trouble."
The two men quietly and carefully made there way to where they saw Price go. Soap peeked his head around the corner and his jaw dropped and his eyes went wide. "What? What do you see?" Simon whispered. The Scot looked up at his superior with his mouth still agape.
"Speak, you idiot. What was Price doing?" "He... He was k-ki-" "Oh, for fuck sake." The Lieutenant peeked around the corner and his eyes went wide. He looked down at the smaller man, who nodded frantically in response.
"Nik, I got your text! What's wrong? Did someone insult you? Did someone make fun of you being trans? Did you-" Nikolai placed a hand over Price's mouth. "Jonathan, I'm fine," he said with a smile. "B-But your text said, Meet me behind base ASAP. Aren't you in trouble?" "No, I'm not in trouble. I just wanted to see you again. It has been a while... Three years, to be exact." "Really, it's been three years already? Shit, I'm sorry, Nikki." "It's fine, Jonathan. You can make it up to me right now~" The Russian said with a raised eyebrow and a grin.
The Captain's eyes went wide and he blushed profusely. "W-W-What...? N-Now?" "Mhm, now~" Nikolai said, as he grabbed the Brit, pulled him close, and kissed him. "Mmm~!" Price was completely caught off-guard, but quickly recovered and kissed back just as passionately.
Then they heard whispering. The two men turned their heads and saw John and Simon quickly go around the corner. "Nosy fuckers," Price muttered as he rubbed a hand down his face.
"Jonathan, how much longer are you going to keep me a secret from your team?" Nikolai asked his boyfriend. "Nikki, I... I don't-" "I know. You don't think the others will accept me for being trans. I get it. But I think it'd be better for everyone if you introduced me to your team, yes?" Price took off his hat and rubbed a hand through his hair. Silence.
"Yeah, you're right. Come on, Nikki, let me introduce you to the Task Force." "Wonderful, lead the way, Jonathan." The Russian said with a smile.
Meanwhile, Soap and Ghost were in the Sergeant's room. He was pacing back-and-forth, while the other was sitting on the bed watching him. "Price is fuckin gay?! How did we not know?! Shouldnae my Gaydar have gone off or sum?!" John looked over at the Lieutenant. "Don't look at me. I thought he was straighter than a pole."
Soap stopped pacing and his face turned bright pink. "Get your mind out of the gutter," Simon said as he rolled his eyes. "Sorry, sorry." Silence.
"...Why are we even freakin' out over this? We're gay, aren't we?" The Brit said, as he tapped his foot quickly. "Yeah, we are. I guess you're right, Si. This isnae th' end of th' world or anythin'. Maybe were overreactin'." "Maybe?" "Okay, we're overreactin' a lot." Silence.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Shit, Simon, hide. We cannae let anyone see ya here," Soap said, as he pushed the other. "Soap, Ghost, we know you're in there. We... I mean, I just want to talk to you." It was Price.
"Well, nevermind then." Soap opened the door to see Price and the man he was kissing earlier. "Yes, Captain. What did you need?" He asked. "At ease, Soap. I just wanted to introduce you to my, uh-" "His boyfriend," Nikolai interrupted with a smile. Simon and John's eyes went to their widest lengths. An awkward silence filled the air.
"...Oh, so thats th' guy ye were makin' oot with-" "Sergeant!" Ghost glared down at him. "What, I'm right, aren't I?" Price slapped his own face and groaned. "Soap, just shut the fuck up already," he muttered.
Nik smiled. "I like this one. He has no filter; I like that. It's very amusing. You must be the famous Sergeant Soap MacTavish, yes?" He said, as he extended his arm for a handshake. "Yessir, I am. And ye are?" John said as he accepted the handshake. "I'm Nikolai, your Captain's boyfriend. It's a pleasure to meet you."
The Russian looked up at Ghost, still smiling warmly. "You must be Lieutenant Ghost, right?" He asked. Simon just stared at him with his eyes narrowed. There was something different about him, but what?
Nik looked at Price, concerned and worried. "You're fine, Nik. Ghost is probably just zoned out," the Captain reassured him. "You're trans!" Ghost exclaimed. Everyone jumped back. "...W-What?" Nik looked up at the Lieutenant. "You're trans! I thought something was different about you, and that's what it is! Oh my god!" Ghost waved his hand excitedly. "Y-Yes, I am trans. Why do you ask?" The Russian started to sweat. "Well, heh, it's awesome to meet another trans man here on the force, y'know?" "Wait... Another trans man? You mean-?" "I'm trans, yes. Soap is, too."
Soap and Price looked at each other. "He's never this open with people he's just met," the Captain muttered. "I know, it's kinda weird," John said quietly.
