The week continued forward without much of a hitch. The study groups had been going well despite the difficulty of the curriculum. There also hadn't been much contact with the other classes as of late other than lunch periods, but they were unsure whether this was a good or bad thing. Kiyotaka had been making every excuse to avoid teaching math in the study groups, but Horikita eventually roped him into it on Thursday. He was fine enough at teaching when it was only one person, but when several people were swarming him asking for assistance he felt uncomfortable. Horikita had managed to sense this and taken some of his workload off of his shoulders, but overall it was still draining.
By the time 7:30 rolled around, he was significantly tired. He had taken the bus to school every day that week in the mornings and afternoons, ending up sitting next to Anya due to being the only connection they had on the bus. Luckily, there was a late bus that could take him back, but Anya had already gone home hours prior. He actually thought of this thinking time on the bus he had been given as a good thing. It was much more difficult to have peace in the morning when there were many elementary school age kids. Late buses were mostly only used for kids with after school activities, which didn't apply to the elementary schoolers. The bus wasn't entirely empty but there were enough vacant seats to where you could have an entire row to yourself. That's exactly what Kiyotaka had gotten, and he took his place near the window after setting his bag down on his seat.
It was already night, the street lamps turning into a blur as the bus continued to travel down the road in the slightly misty air. Kiyotaka leaned his head onto the window and closed his eyes lightly, only to get a brief moment of peace in the dark. A few days ago, he had noticed a pattern within Anya, albeit a strange one. Any time that he would think of anything that was unordinary or strange, specifically when it came to the White Room, she would react in some way. She would usually stiffen up or become wide eyed. It was an impossible fantasy but...
"Sometimes it's almost like she's reading your mind."
He couldn't get that sentence out of his head. Perhaps it was just a coincidence. No, it was a coincidence. Things like that didn't exist in this world. Even if it was, there was nothing wrong with testing his hypothesis. If she was a telepath like this far fetched idea implies, then he would need to be careful to either keep his thoughts going by so rapidly that she wouldn't be able to read them in time or not think of anything at all when he was around her. The latter was definitely the harder of the options.
Kiyotaka lightly sighed to himself as he felt the bus come to a stop, had the time passed so fast? He was actually considering childish ideas like telepathy as a possibility. He stifled his thoughts as he walked out of the bus. Most people have trouble deciding to stop thinking about something they told themselves not to think about, but Ayanokoji could easily control the flow of his thoughts in whichever way he wanted. The idea was pushed to the back of his mind, he would wait until another day.

The next morning, Ayanokoji got a text from someone unexpected. They were asking to meet up during the lunch period, Ayanokoji agreeing to the proposal without hesitation. It was quite easy to assume what they would be discussing given the people he would be talking with and the timing.
When the lunch bell rang, instead of meeting up with Kei, Kiyotaka got out of his seat and headed towards the designated area that they were meeting at. It was a secluded area in the outside area of the school, making it a good place to have a secret meeting in the cold weather.
Apparently he had arrived earlier than the two he was meeting with, leaving him to stand around in silence. He only hoped that people didn't think he was weird for standing alone in the cold.
After a minute, the two finally arrived. Kanzaki and Himeno.
"Thank you for taking time out of your lunch to speak with us," Kanzaki started.
