Flynn found himself engrossed in a captivating scene within Jasper's meticulously arranged room. The atmosphere exuded a sense of pristine cleanliness and perfect organization, reflecting Jasper's meticulous nature. Adorning the walls were a multitude of vibrant posters, showcasing his deep passion for movies, games, and, most notably, a prominent poster of Lisa Lavender, adorned with her signature. Jasper held a profound admiration for Lisa Lavender's groundbreaking work in the field of journalism, and this admiration had sparked a personal aspiration within him to follow in her footsteps. He yearned to embark on a journey towards becoming a journalist, driven by the hope of one day reaching the same level of excellence as his idol.

Flynn, seated comfortably near a well-structured desk, focused his attention on the task at hand. The desk itself was adorned with an array of meticulously assembled miniatures, derived from the Atlas box set. Flynn had dedicated his time and effort to constructing an impressive collection, having already completed the intricate assembly of six veteran troopers and a staggering fourteen standard infantry models. Jasper was outside, currently engaged in the task of meticulously priming the assembled miniatures with a coat of black spray paint. These miniatures consisted of three power armor units and six standard troopers.

The Carmine's home or apartment is situated in the northern part of the city of Vale. It is a charming two-story brick house, just like all the other apartments in the area. The houses are neatly aligned side by side, creating an orderly and cohesive neighborhood. However, one minor drawback of living in this area is the parking situation, which can be a little cramped at times. Despite this, it is still manageable for residents to find suitable parking spaces for their vehicles. Although it may require a bit of maneuvering and patience, the residents have adapted to this challenge and make it work. The residents of this area enjoy the benefits of living in a tight-knit community in the northern side of Vale.

Flynn remained focused on delicately clipping the miniatures from the plastic frame, ensuring that he didn't inadvertently damage any of the finely crafted models. As he continued his work, Flynn suddenly caught the sound of approaching footsteps outside the door. Moments later, the door swung open, revealing Jasper, who held a tray in his hand. Upon closer inspection, Flynn noticed that the tray contained the primed miniatures, now coated in black spray paint. To keep them secure, the miniatures were affixed to the tray using a sticky putty substance, with the putty itself positioned beneath the black round bases that were attached to each of the miniatures.

With a swift motion, Jasper carefully set the miniatures on the table, their placement indicating that they were one step closer to commencing the painting process once the spray paint had dried. Jasper's resourcefulness led him to retrieve a pair of pliers and a small hobby knife from a drawer nestled beneath the table where Flynn was diligently working. The two teenagers resumed their task of delicately severing the miniatures from their plastic frames, exhibiting unwavering precision and patience throughout the process. Sensing the need to break the silence that permeated the room, they engaged in conversation, fostering a lively exchange between them.

"Flynn," Jasper began, his tone filled with genuine curiosity, "aside from seeking out a Huntsmen combat school and working at Tukson's bookstore, do you have any other plans for the summer?" Jasper patiently awaited Flynn's response, allowing the silence to hang briefly in the air. After a moment of contemplation, Flynn replied, his voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty, "Honestly, those are the only plans I have at the moment." Jasper simply nodded, understanding his friend's predicament. Sensing the need to keep the conversation flowing, Flynn decided to reciprocate by asking Jasper about his own plans. However, as Flynn posed the question, he immediately noticed a subtle change in Jasper's demeanor. His dog ears drooped slightly, a sign of sadness that couldn't go unnoticed by Flynn.
