I woke up the next morning with Alice sprawled across my bedroom floor. She stayed over last night after I had told her about my date with Liam. I smiled at the memory of it. I grabbed my mobile off my dressing table, I had no messages. I was a little disappointed at this but when I went to put my phone down it started vibrating; I had a text. I opened it smiling to myself, it was from Liam. He wanted to see me again tonight. I sighed happily and got out of bed climbing over Alice a bounced downstairs and got some cereal. Dan walked into the kitchen, clearly hung over. I laughed to myself as he sat down and lay his head on the table. I got up and made him a glass of water and grabbed some painkillers.

“Have a good night Dan?” I giggled

“Humph...” Dan mumbled

I placed the glass down next to him and he lifted his head and I placed the painkillers in his hands.

“Thanks.” Dan grumbled rubbing his head.

          There was a knock on the door, I looked up at the clock in the kitchen; it was 9 o’clock. I walked to the front door fully aware I was still In my pyjamas which consisted of one of my brothers old worn out t-shirts and some shorts. I hesitated at the door and opened it slightly ensuring that you couldn’t see what I was wearing. It was Adam.

“Hey, I’m surprised you’re awake. I heard you were out last night on your hot date. Aha.” Adam said chuckling

“Hello, come in.” I answered opened the door wider. “Yeah I was on a date” I giggled.

          I saw Adam glance down at my pyjamas and laugh, I smiled, I couldn’t help feeling slightly embarrassed even though this wasn’t the first time I had been in my pyjamas around him. I sat down on the sofa and he followed sitting down next to me as I flicked on the television for some background noise.

“So how was your date?”

“It was good thank you. We had a picnic.” I smiled blushing embarrassedly.

“Good” Adam said distractedly.

          I followed his gaze and saw Alice was awake and standing on the stairs in shock, she looked over at me with wide eyes. I jumped up and walked up to meet her on the stairs. Alice pulled me towards her and whispered in my ear.

“Frankie! Why didn’t you warn me that Adam was here?! I wouldn’t have come down in my pyjamas!”

“Calm down, he’s seen us in our pyjamas before.” I said casually

“Yes, when we were about 10 years old!”

          Alice turned around and ran up the stairs. This was confusing Adam was our best friend, we have dressed in worse in front of him; why was Alice acting like this? I frowned to myself and sat back down next to Adam who looked just as confused as me. He looked at me as though he was going to ask what was going on so I just shrugged.

“She’s gone to get dressed.” I stated still trying to make sense of what had just happened.

“Ah”

We met up with Matt later on, about 12o’clock. It was a little awkward between me and Matt after I had said no for the date. I felt so bad for lying to him. I looked up and noticed that he was looking at me; he turned bright red and started making conversation with Lucy and Adam. I walked over to the swing and sat down swinging slowly. I couldn’t help thinking about Liam and last night.
