Chapter Nineteen: Date Night

Alright doing this a little backwards. was rereading and realized that I have forgotten the carnival. So i'm doing it now.

It was a quiet walk back to her office. We walk into the room and we both sit down at the desk.

"Was today the day you really had to stick up for yourself."

"I couldn't let that go anymore. Enid was terrified to do it for herself and if I couldn't do it for myself I might as well help someone else."

"Well you did a good job."

"So you're not going to yell at me?" she frowns a little

"Do you want me to?" I shook my head no. "Then take this as a win. Are you going to the carnival tonight with Wednesday?"

"I don't know. Do you think she would like the carnival as a date?"

"I don't know but it's worth a shot to ask."

"Are you and Ms. Thornhill going on a date?" I see her face heat up. "I will take that as a yes. I'm gonna go ask her. I'll see you later." I walk out the door and I take out my phone and I text Wednesday.

Me: Out of the office where are you?

Willa: In my room.

Me: Alright I'm coming up now.

Willa: Alright the door is open for you.

I walk up the stairs to her room and I see them sitting on their beds doing their own thing.

"Hey Enid, hey Willa." They both look up and they smile at me. I kick off my shoes and I hop onto Wednesday's bed on top of her. She taps me and I sit up, she moves the book and lays down and she opens her arms wide and I lay back on top of her. I feel her heartbeat and her breathing movements and I close my eyes for a minute and I match my breathing to hers. After a while I open my eyes and I look up at her, she looks down at me and she smiles.

"Feel better?" i nod my head

"Yeah, did I fall asleep?"

"Yeah it's been a coupleish hours, it's almost 4."

"I'm sorry that I fell asleep on you."

"Don't be Cara Mia. you needed rest, i'm always happy to be you pillow or your blanket." I laugh and she smiles.

"I have a question for you."

"What's up Cara Mia?"

"Well I was wondering... Well there's carnival and I know you don't like loud places or places with people or people in general..."

"You're spiraling."

"I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to the carnival."

"I thought we were going anyway."

"Oh okay." I feel the bed cave in a bit as Enid comes on the bed. I look at her and she give me a big smile.

"Is it a date or just chilling? Because I wanna go but i dont wanna like third wheel or be oblivious that it's gonna be a date."

"If it's okay with Wednesday, why don't we do half not a date and then half a date. That way we can spend time with you and then we can have a date." I look at Wednesday for the second half of that answer.

"I think that's a great idea. The first half with you and the second half is just us"

"Perfect, we all agree. I'm gonna go get changed and we can get out of here. I like these shoes and they are not made for dirt." I laugh as I get up and walk to my room. I take out my phone and I text Larissa.
