Bright dropped his phone after that response. How dare that Metawin? He can't help but get angry.

Really, Metawin? Not close? Bright thinks.

It's offensive to Bright because he was thinking of him back when he was digging up wells in Africa. He had thought of stories to tell his worst enemy as he played softball with the kids and didn't he hear of the saying, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer," at all? That left Bright confused.

So after he was done punching the air, he hurriedly typed a response to Win's harsh text message.

As the saying goes, Metawin, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Am I supposed to be offended that you haven't thought of me as an enemy for the past year?

Now you're just tripping. I'm very confused about who's drunk in this conversation.

Annoying, Win mutters under his breath. Win knows Bright does not like driving and he was not allowed to but he was a bit boozed and he was definitely not the optimum state for Win to argue with the great Bright Vachirawit. 

And yet Win wonders, what did Bright need from him that was so urgent? 

Khao was the first one to bid his friends goodbye while Gun decided to stay a while and chug on his beer some more.

Gun was still thinking about how he can discover the next big star for Phosphene. To this day, Phosphene's biggest artist is Bright. He has gained the attention of many and fortunately for Gun, his bestfriend happened to be a master in the education of Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree.

"Win, how was Bright discovered?" Gun asks out of the blue.

"You went to college together, right? You must know," He adds.

Win sighs. He did not know for sure but he has heard from P'Jennie and he had two eyes. (And Bright might have told him a teeny tiny bit.)

Bright wasn't exactly unpopular back in the day—it was the complete opposite. Men and women were drawn to Bright even before he became one of the brightest stars in the industry.

"It was P'Jennie who discovered Bright. After our exam in Economics, there was a university-wide clean-up and P'Jennie went to visit her niece. She spotted Bright sitting by a rock in our school garden and you know him, he's aloof so he turned her down when she gave a calling card and showed her a bunch of other cards given to him by entertainment companies." Win narrates.
