I was finishing up the night shift at the club, when I was approached by one of the girls.

"Will you walk me to my car?"

"Yes." I said a little more gruff than intended.

She annoyed me with her Botox filled face and engorged lips, but was always nice to the bartenders. I obliged, and headed out the back door.

It was a mysterious, warm night where the only light produced was from the moon and the dimming street lights. I always found the scenery somewhat charming, although it would be the ideal setting of the cliche horror movie where teens would get drunk and murdered by some bum with an artsy mask.

I was quickly pulled from my thoughts as the door shut with a snappy click. But, there was a distant flash of light in my peripheral. I almost wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn't come from the forest that sits directly behind the back parking lot of the club. I didn't bother to investigate, as it was most likely a malfunctioning trail cam.
