Sasuke rushed to the mirror that was in his bathroom and he studied himself. His eyes had turned bright red like his other family members. The more he stared at himself in the mirror the more he couldn't understand what happened.

He sat there for a moment but realized that it must have had something to do with that boy from the woods. "So where did you really go, little brother? Did you finally find a maiden?" Itachi snickered at the door of the bathroom and Sasuke just ignored him.

"Itachi..is it possible for one to obtain the Sharingan even if they've never tasted the blood of their soulmate?" Sasuke studied himself more as he asked the question.

"Not to my knowledge no. Is there a reason why you're asking me that?" Itachi questioned, looking at his brother suspiciously,

"No" "I was just wondering" Sasuke responded and he mentally went through the night. He needed answers, nothing made sense anymore. Even if there was a way, there was no way his soul mate was a boy. He isn't a homosexual like Itachi.

"You might want to tell Father about this before it wears off" Itachi commented and Sasuke turned his head to look at him.

"Before it wears off?" He questioned.

"The sharingan wears off after until you gain full control of it. It requires a steady amount of blood from your soulmate and constant heavy training." He explained. "From your question, I assume that somehow you haven't had their blood, and I'm not completely sure how your Sharingan is going to react to that but just be ready for it to wear off."

Sasuke felt his heart drop, although he had no idea how it happened, he was still deep down excited that he finally got his Sharingan, and he didn't want to let it go.

He wasn't sure how but he needed to find that boy again.

...

Naruto woke up on the ground in the cool forest. The dirt from the earth stuck to his face like it had been glued there and leaves had made their way into his blonde strands. It had been early morning, and the sun starting to blare down into the earth.

Naruto wasn't sure how he got there, or even what happened the previous night. He stood up and noticed that his clothes had been slightly ripped by his collar.

He shrugged it off and just turned around to walk home.

When he arrived home Nagato instantly went up to him and hugged him. "Naruto!! Where the hell have you been? I was so worried!!" Naruto hugged him back and looked at him confused.

"I don't know, I woke up in the forest, I don't remember anything from last night" Naruto explained and Nagato looked at him with confusion. Eventually Nagato realized something and the color from his face drained.

"Naruto, did you wake up on the path I told you not to go on.?" Naruto felt his face flush and he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yes.." Nagato grabbed Naruto and he started to examine his neck.

"Okay, they didn't turn you, so good." Nagato I started to glare at Naruto and he hit him on the head again. "What were you thinking?! They feed around this time! thankfully didn't feed on you. You're lucky once again."

Nagato sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm not sending you into the forest to gather ingredients anymore, I guess you'll have to go into town for everything."

Naruto groaned and slumped over. "But town is so far!!" Nagato hit Naruto once again.

"Well, maybe you should've thought about that before you disobeyed my instructions!"

A few weeks later, Nagato's birthday had been coming up and Naruto wanted to try and make him something special for dinner so he went into town for the ingredients. As he arrived in town, he looked around at the many shops surrounding the area. The scattered pieces across the ground of the town floor blended in with the nude color of merchant shops. He walked along the main path and he watched the happy faces of the villagers that passed him. Once he finally made it to the town market he gathered the ingredients, paid for them, and proceeded to walk outside of the market. He rushed out of the store, wanting to make it out before Nagato returned home and thanks to his overwhelming clumsiness, he bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry-" He didn't finish his sentence due to the overwhelming aura this guy had. He finally took a look at his face and the man's facial expression seemed so cold and empty. His cold dark eyes made him shiver and want to curl up into a ball. He took more of the man's features into consideration. His skin was almost as white as snow and his eyes and hair looked darker than the night itself. This man had a piercing stare, almost cruel in nature. He swallowed the lump in his throat and he found his voice again. "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. Could you forgive me?" The man stood there for a bit and stared at him long before responding.

"Of course. Just watch where you're going next time" Naruto nodded him and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Where are you headed this early in the morning?" The man asked.

Naruto gave him a warm smile. "Im gathering ingredients to make my older cousin a meal for his birthday. I'm hoping that I can accomplish it though, I'm not that great at cooking"

The man looks away for a second to think. "How about I join you? I don't mean to boast but I think my cooking skills are rather peculiar" He smiles warmly at Naruto and it makes his heart sink.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea. My cousin won't be home til late tonight so maybe you can help me practice the recipes" The man nodded and proceeded to walk into the forest.
