"Y/N! Wake up or I'm leaving you at the hotel and not coming back" I slowly sat up in the hotels bed, the sheets were scratchy and white. I'm not bothered to change out of pajamas since I will be sitting in a car for another hour. That's right we moved, I used to live in Illinois. I liked it there, the springs were beautiful. But now we are moving to Pennsylvania specifically in a town called Brownsville. I hope it's not as dirty as the name makes it seem.

Now in the car, I ride in the back seat with my cat maximus purring on the seat next to me. The radio playing softly, I couldn't make out the song but it was pleasant. My dad looked back at me and said, "I know this isn't going to help the situation with your mothers death, but hopefully now that we can this will be a great fresh start?"
I take in his words genuinely, "I hope so, we can walk around and get groceries and other small stuff we need!"
My dad responds happily, "Great idea"

I had forgotten my mom died. I don't think either myself or my dad were to sad about it. My mom was a drunk so she was more of a burden rather than a mom. It has always been me and my dad. I love my mom but she didn't do much. I'm sure I will feel differently about it later but I think right now it's the least of my worries.

About 45 minutes passed and we entered Brownsville. It actually seems like a nice and quiet town in

s I watch through the window I see many small houses and buildings, when I see two girls about my age walking into a diner. They seem happy they were dancing and singing . Then we take a turn and up into a driveway which I'd assume to be my new home. I pick up max and we walk inside, my dad puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "Hey hun I can hall this stuff into the house you go check out the town...and here is a 20 go get some food" I smile up at him "thanks dad!"  I give him a quick hug and he takes max out of my hands
