I'd lost my mind in the back room of the bakery. I don't think I could have hurt those flowers more if I'd been trying. Aggressively pulling off the leaves and cutting the stems like it was them that had irritated me. I'd put the music on so loud in my earphones, it was still ringing now as I sat parked up outside of the house. Everything was done. I'd double checked everything and I'd be doing the same first thing in the morning, hopefully before Piper even wakes up.

I was struggling to face going in though. Facing everyone after what he'd had the nerve to say, it was still running around in my head. I hit my forehead on the wheel a few more times, ignoring what I knew was Zoe getting in beside me.

"I really hope that your banging your head because you're trying to knock your patience out before you go in there because it is LOUD." Zoe rubbed her ears, chuckling at me which wasn't returned, changing the mood in the car. "No music, head on the wheel, an hour later than you said you'd be. What happened?"

"So, Griffin's in town."

"Uh-oh."

"Uh-oh indeed. Showed up at the church whilst I was checking everything over."

"Oh no."

"Mhm." I nodded, turning to her. "Tell me why he's so deranged to tell me I don't care about Piper because I wasn't talking to him about the whole Kelsie and Shannon thing."

"He told you that you don't- Is he off his rocker?"

"You tell me." I shook my head, gripping onto the steering wheel and sitting back in my chair, head resting on the cushioned rest. "I ranted at him. I don't think I raised my voice. I did call him a smart arse though."

"In the church?"

"Took the lords name in vain too." I rolled my eyes before closing them. "He called me a bitch. Told me I was being a bitch about all of it, dramatic and all that, then grabbed my arm when I tried to leave, said I don't get to walk away this time."

"He walked off last time? I watched him!"

"Yup."

"God this guy grinds my gears."

"Yup." I nodded. "I just don't get why he sweeps in here for what the 24 hours he's going to be home and suddenly decides now's the time for him to put all of this in the past? And that him talking to me like that? I don't care that it's the biggest day of Piper's life?"

"Pretty sure the biggest day of her life is the day of the accident."

"EXACTLY. He really really pisses me off Zoe."

"Okay we're cracking out the swears." Zoe sighed. "You're major mad."

"Beyond mad. I genuinely want to drive over there and punch him square in the face for the cheek he had today."

"Are you gonna do it?"

"What? No! Of course not."

"Then why are you sitting here?"

"Because-"

"Because right now you're sister's in there getting ready to celebrate the happiest day of her life and the one person she wants beside her right now is sat in a car outside getting herself worked up over some guy that's trying to bury into her head like he matters at all this weekend." I pressed my lips together as I looked at Zoe, slowly pulling my hands off the steering wheel and settling them in my lap. I hate when she's right. "So. Deep breath, pluck it off, out the window, let it leave in the wind and we're going into that house, drinking a million shots of whatever they're making in there and screaming Taylor all evening. Then we're putting the bride to bed, sleeping, giving her the best day of her life and we can deal with douchebag if he's still around on Sunday. Got it?"
