In the ship Mantis, Drax, Joey and Quill are seated together, talking.
"Hey can I ask you a personal question?" Quill asks Mantis.
"No one has ever asked me a personal question." Mantis says intrigued.
"Your antennae, what are they for?"
"Their purpose?" Mantis looks up at her antennae.
"Yes. Quill and I have a bet." Drax says as Gamora walks in the room.
"Of course you do." Josephine rolls her eyes.
"Dude. You're not supposed to say that," Quill tells Drax.
"I say... that if you are about to go through a doorway that is too low, your antennae will feel this, and keep you from being decapitated." Drax explains to Mantis.
"Seriously?" Jo questions Drax, who just nods his head excitedly.
"Right, and if it's anything other than you specifically not being decapitated by a doorway, I win." Quill says just as excited.
"They are not for feeling doorways," Mantis says as Drax sighs, and Quill laughs. "I think, they have something to do with my empathic abilities."
"What are those?" Gamora asks.
"If I touch someone, I can feel their feelings."
"You read minds?" Quill asks her.
"Josephine reads minds too." Drax says.
"No. Telepaths know thoughts. Empaths feel feelings. Emotions." Mantis explains to them.
"May I?" Mantis asks Quill for permission to use her power on him.
"Alright," he says letting Mantis touch his hand.
"You feel love," Mantis says while her antenas glow.
"Yeah, I guess I feel a general, unselfish love for just about everybody." Quill starts.
"No! Romantic, sexual love."
"No... I don't." Peter shakes his head.
"For her!" Mantis points at Gamora.
"No!" Quill denies. "That is not-"
Drax and Joey interrupt him with their cries of laughter.
"Okay!" Quill tries to stop them.
"HAHA SHE JUST TOLD EVERYONE YOUR DEEPEST DARKEST SECRET!" Drax points at Quill, making fun of him.
"Dude cmon! I think you're overreacting a little bit," Peter starts to get agitated.
"YOU MUST BE SO EMBARRASSED!" Drax laughs out loud.
"Well if he wasn't before, he is now!" Jo chuckles.
"Do me! Do me! Do me!" Drax begs Mantis to use her abilities on him. They both start laughing hysterically.
"I have never felt such humor!" Mantis screams as they're both now laughing at Quill.
"So unbelievably uncool," Peter mutters as he looks over at Gamora.
Mantis gets up and makes her way over to Gamora, trying to use her powers on her. Gamora grabs her wrist before she could touch her.
"Touch me, and the only thing you're gonna feel is a broken jaw." Gamora threatens her.
Mantis looks over at the group, noticing one more candidate.
"What about you?" She points to Josephine.
