Higuchi often made tea for the other members of the Port Mafia, since she enjoyed making tea it wasn't a bother to her. She had written down all of the tea's that were assigned to everyone, from preferences, to favorites, to dislikes and allergies.

Though, there was always one person she never made tea for. That was Gin Akutagawa, Akutagawa's sister. Who, Higuchi was quite awkward around. Not for any certain reason, but rather because Gin is a very hard person to talk to. Though, today Higuchi wanted to ask Gin if she wanted anything, just so Gin knew she could ask anytime.

Higuchi did as usual, after her missions she made herself,  and the co-workers who came back before she went home, some tea. Gin was there, as planned, and Higuchi built up the courage to ask her today.

"Gin?"

"Higuchi." Gin responded, Still cleaning a weapon she used during her missions today "Would you have a preference for tea today?" Higuchi could barley hold back her awkward voice but she was proud to have  got the sentence out.

"..." It was silent. about 10 seconds passed before Gin answered "I'm fine Hig—" before Gin could finish her reply Higuchi cut her off "Your sure? I promise I wouldn't mind making something with extra steps!" "..." It was silent again, and Higuchi was flustered by her stupidity of cutting Gin off.

Gin finally looked down at Higuchi, with a dead stare "Just, something bland maybe..." She muttered. Higuchi couldn't help but smile a tad at Gin's face, As much as Gin was "badass" she was also shy and awkward, which Higuchi could relate to. "Alrighty! As you wish!"

As she got back to the kitchen, she thought of a bland tea she could make Gin, she made all the others tea and she didn't want it getting cold. So she had to think fast.

"Qi Lan!" Higuchi thought, It was perfect. As bland as you could go with tea, and it was also pretty good for you!

Higuchi brought out the tea as usual, setting it in all its places for everyone to enjoy. As she sat Gin's cup down, Gin put her weapons away gently and looked down inside the cup.

"Bland tea... why would I ask for that...? heat of the moment I guess. Well, I might as well try what she made me." Gin honestly did like tea, quite a bit actually. But she didn't want to seem like she did to other Port Mafia members. As she took a sip, The tea warmed her mouth and tasted like... nothing.

Expected. But it wasn't a bad nothing, it was honestly something to just enjoy casually instead of, asking for some fancy tea. I guess.

As Gin took sip after sip, Higuchi wondered if she liked it or was rather just drinking it because she forced her to let her make her some tea... but, either way it was really hard to tell from Gin's blank face.

"Thank you, Higuchi" Gin said politely, not looking at Higuchi's face at all "Of course, you can ask me for anything Gin." Higuchi couldn't help but regret every word that came out of her mouth around Gin. She swore it was a curse she had with the Akutagawa's. "anything" wasn't the best word to use. Gin just gave her a returned awkward smile and went back to messing with her weapons...

"I'll be heading out now." Higuchi left the Port Mafia building early that day, partially because of embarrassment and partially because she forgot to feed her cat this morning.

"Im sorry i'm sorry I know I know!!" Higuchi said walking into her apartment door. "Mocha" her calico cat was very feisty when it came to food, and was not very pleased with Higuchi's forgetfulness. As she fed Mocha her very important meal that was all breakfast lunch and dinner, she decided she would probably have to make something to eat before she went to bed for herself.

Mocha crawled up onto the bar chairs that faced Higuchi, and watched her as she cooked. She really enjoyed this spot, if that was because Higuchi always cut her finger or if she just liked watching her cook... But, Higuchi had her bets on the first option.

She cut up vegetables and put them in some broth for some quick soup, as it cooked she played with Mocha and her favorite rat toy.

When the soup had finished, She made a quick bowl and cuddled up with Mocha on the couch. The soup was mediocre, and Mocha wouldn't stop eating Higuchi's hair, for she was still a kitten... So, the whole experience was mediocre. The clock had reached 2 am, and Higuchi knew she had to go to bed now. She locked up her apartment doors, and turned off the lights.

As she crawled into bed, she kissed Mocha goodnight, and wished for a good day tomorrow, and since she didn't have a mission that day, she could visit the new bakery just down the sidewalk from her, she excitedly closed her eyes and drifted away.
