The last day of school for Desmon and he's been lucky so far, Matthew and his crew haven't bothered him all day, but all good things come to an end after all. After school Desmon was walking home when Matthew jumps him. There was a lot of anger in his eyes, and Desmon seemed unfazed by it.
"How the hell did you get in? It should have been impossible for someone like you to gain admission!" Matthew yelled.
"Grades count too," Desmon replies, rolling his eyes.
Matthew pulls Desmon off the ground by grabbing his shirt. Using fear to scare Desmon, he hopes to become stronger so he can keep the 'roach' under his foot for good.
"If you know what's best for you, Wyrm, you won't go," Matthew threatens.
Desmon grabs Matthew's wrist, his hair down. Desmon says something but it's too quiet to be heard.
"What was that Wyrm, speak up!" Matthew taunts.
What Matthew was not expecting was for Desmon to move his head up just enough he could see Desmon's eyes in the shadow of his hair. Desmon's eyes were faintly glowing red making Desmon look a little demonic.
" I said... I could give less a shit what you want Pratt..." Desmon says lowly.
Matthew feels pain in his wrist and looks to see that Desmon's hand is glowing orange-ish red.
'Shit! What the hell?' Matthew thought rubbing his wrist.
"I made it in so grow up. I've worked my ass off to get here. If you think I'm going to give up just because you don't like it, you're damn well mistaken," Desmon says with a growl.
Desmon walks off leaving Matthew slightly unnerved.
"Tch..." Matthew says grumbling about his plan failing.
Matthew looks at his wrist and sees the burns Desmon left behind.
"Stupid Wyrm! Thinks he's so tough, just wait I'll make sure your life in Arcane Academy is shit." Matthew says to himself with an evil laugh.
Once home Desmon is greeted by Garnet, who is in her human form.
"Master! You're home!" Garnet says hugging him, welcoming him home.
Mrs. Drake is watching them smiling,'They're so cute together, it's too bad she's an elemental beast.'
"It seems someone's missed you, Desmon. Hehehe." Mrs. Drake says giggling.
Garnet flushes red from embarrassment and goes shy.
"I..I.." Garnet says, trying to form words.
Desmon can't help but laugh slightly, fully entering his home, and closing the door behind him.
"I got my letter today," Desmon says happily.
"Did you get in Master?" asks Garnet.
"What did we talk about Garnet, just call me Desmon, I don't like the whole master thing."
"Oh right, sorry elemental beast never had a master not want to be called master before so it's sometimes hard to switch," Garnet says, rubbing her head.
"Anyway Yes I was accepted, more for my grades than my Mana though," Desmon replies a little sad.
Garnet put her hand on Desmon's cheek, "Don't worry Desmon... even if you're Mana is weak I will help you get stronger!" Garnet says cheerfully.
"Thanks, Garnet, but there is something I want to ask you," Desmon says smiling.
"Sure what is it?" Garnet asks curiously.
