Riddhima

I made my way to the bedroom and stood right in front of the entrance,  staring at Vansh. His chocolate eyes were fixed on the phone screen. From the way he shifted on the couch I could tell his mind was somewhere else.

I walked past him with a small smile and threw the bag into bed. His eyes rolled over me, making my breath hitch. As he eyed me for a few seconds too long, I could feel the warming of my cheeks under his gaze. It was a bad reflex of mine, it doesn't take much to make me blush the shade of a tomato and I couldn't help it.

Don't blame me.

No one. Believe me when I say no one could resist this fast beating of the heart whenever he flashes his sexy — pardon me for the language— breath-snatching smile. I couldn't come to terms with how one person could be as gorgeous as he is.

Climbing onto the couch next to him then, I straddled him as his arm reached around to wrap itself around me.

My heart fluttered again. His touch was doing crazy things to my stomach. Not that I was complaining.

"How was your day, Love?" Vansh interrupted my trail of thoughts, kissing the top of my forehead.

I sighed as the horrible memory of my not-so-good day came rushing back at me.

"Let's not talk about that. I got a ridiculous amount of exhausting things and again remembering them sounds bad to me. Cases nowadays have become bitch." I responded with a frown.

He chuckled in my ear, and when his warm breath tickled me lightly I knew this man was going to be the death of me. However, I was not afraid of death.

"Hm, what should I serve coffee, tea—"

"Cock—" I stopped in the middle, realising what embarrassing thing I was about to ask. "—tail. Cocktail."

Thanks to my brain.

Again. Not my mistake. My boyfriend was damn hot and sexy. I want him to ente— uh, Bitch stop thinking dirty.

Focus.

A small chuckle swirls out of his mouth, "Cocktail it is and nothing else?" He raises one eyebrow, waiting for a response.

"Of course," I muttered, seeking to take my mind off of the close proximity. "Not now though. As of now stay like that."

"As you wish." He laughed, allowing his laughter to echo throughout the air lingering around us.

The vibrations of which send chills through my veins, igniting my stomach with fire, which set off a series of fireworks within me. I glanced back at him, my eyes landing on his lips. The sight of them took me back to this morning - the kiss, his hug, my legs around his waist.

His hand began stroking my hair and I closed my eyes, feeling immense comfort around him.

You're blushing, Riddhima.

Oh crap!

Irrespective of mine, the beat of his heart was normal... smooth. It wasn't right. His heart got to be normal while mine was still doing crazy things in my chest.

"What happened, Riddhima?"

"You happen." Frown formed all over my face. "You're so bad for me."

He separated himself from me, blinking in confusion. "How is that?"

"Just because of you, my heart will explode some-coming-very-soon-day in chest and I'm having a problem calming this. Oh hell." I mocked with the most dangerous glare of mine ever.

"Is that so?" His lips were full of smiles. "How can this be?"

"Well, whenever I'm around you, my heart goes crazy. It starts running like a stallion for no valid reason. I'm afraid if I continue staying with you, I'll end up dead." I told him matter-of-factly. Sue me if a single word I use was close to wrong.

"Is the culprit me?" His question came as a soft murmur as he licked his lips, lifting an eyebrow along my way.

"I just thought I would let you know in advance so that you know you're responsible when I die of heart complications," I finished in a near-whisper, snaking my arms around his neck.

"I haven't intentionally planned it if you ask me. But now that you're so kind to let me be aware of this, I'll start thinking of a good place to hide your body for when the authorities come after me," Vansh joked, laughing at me.

How cruel!

Grimacing at him, I smacked his chest, not that much to hurt him, and turned around his so that I'm facing him.

I pouted at him. "It wasn't amusing at all."

"Aww! Not my problem though, " he mumbled in his soft tone, a million-dollar smile still shining on his face.

At his word, my mouth hung open in 'o' until he brushed his lips against mine for a second, leaving no chance to let me be angry or even pretend to be angry with this prince charming. Damn! It was impossible to win over him.

"I love you," Vansh grinned, speaking that three magical words I'd die to hear from him.

"I love you more."

I could feel my heart burst, soaring with inexplicable joy. I inhaled sharply at the sensation as his warmth breadth caressed just beneath the left corner of my lips

A feather-light brush of our lips.

A gentle and meaningful kiss.

Skipping of beats wasn't too bad if this caused you to smile forever.

Ohh! It was the start of everything precious that comes along with the healthy relationship.
