I woke up to see Blake's bed head looking through the jeep window.
"Can you open the door?" He shouted through the window.
My eyebrows creased and I shook my head. What makes him think I would move from my super comfortable position in the seat. The super comfy position that was making my neck hurt like I got whiplash.
"Don't you have the keys?" I grumbled, my morning voice sounding more like a man than the one glaring at me from outside the jeep.
"No, they're in the glove box." He said and a small smile made its way to my lips.
"Why should I let you in?" I asked him and he narrowed his eyes.
"Because you love me." He said and I laughed as I sat up then crawled to the driver's seat.
I gave him a cheeky grin before reaching into the glove box and pulling out the keys.
He had food and all that crap, I'm sure he can survive until someone finds him.
With a smirk I sped away, kicking up some dirt into his face.
Eventually my laughter at his priceless face died out and I realized something. I have absolutely no clue where I am, or even how to get back to where I left the man whore.
I dug my phone out of my pocket and called my brother.
"Where are you!" He shouted.
"I think I went deaf for a second there." I said and he pretty much growled through the phone.
"And to be honest I have no clue." I said and he groaned. I could imagine him pulling his hair in annoyance.
"What do you mean you have no clue where you are?" He said.
"Well I'm in Blake's jeep and I'm parked-"
"What are you doing in his truck!" He screamed like a madman.
"He took me on a date and I slept in the car while he slept in a outside, calm down and help me find my way home." I screamed back.
"Where are you?" He asked me and I sighed.
"I already told you I have no freaking idea. I am in the middle of nowhere, all I see are corn fields!" I shouted and he groaned.
"Keep driving until you see road sign that can tell you where you are." He said.
"Ok, don't get your panties in a twist." I said. "I'll call you back when I find something."
About ten minutes later I saw a sign telling me what street I was on and I recognized it thankfully to be only about twenty minutes away from my house.
When I got home I had a very angry Alec to deal with, but before I did that I parked Blake's jeep in his driveway and walked across the lawn with the feeling of being watched.
I turned around on the porch to see curtains snap shut. Wow that's a great feeling.
The second I opened the door I was greeted with a loud and sarcastic "Finally!"
But just my luck it wasn't Alec.
Mommy's home.
"Where have you been bitch?" She shouted.
"None of your fucking business." I spat.
"Watch who you're talking to." She screeched as she raised her fist and I flinched.
I had learnt that the best way to survive in my house was to just let her go at it, or else she would go get my pathetic excuse of a father to finish the job, and as much of a disgusting human being that he was, he was still much stronger than her and I. So it was just up to me to hope she would get tired quickly, because if you know anything about a drunk heroine addict you would know how weak they are.
The first hit landed on my cheekbone, the second one hit my jaw, the third one hit my cheek again, and the fourth one hit my collar bone.
"Fucking respond!" She shouted.
That's another thing. If you give up on surviving then you can just ignore her and act like whatever she is doing isn't affecting you and she gets super pissed.
However it's not worth it.
"Collin!" She screeched and my eyes widened as I heard my father's steps coming into the room.
I turned to run out the door when I was tackled to the ground.
"Now where do you think you're going?" He spat in my face.
"Anywhere but here." I spat right back just as he pulled a fist back and hit my stomach, crushing the air out of me. Immediately I curled in, clutching my stomach as I tried to get air back in my system.
He stood up and kicked my back and my thigh. Tears of frustration were threatening to spill from my eyes and he laughed as he saw them.
He knew I was mad and he knew exactly why.
They had never laid a hand on Alec and it was gonna stay that was unless I fought back.
With another disgusting laugh he leaned over me and said a sickeningly sweet "Nighty night." before kicking me in the head knocking me out cold.
I woke up what felt like an eternity later on the kitchen floor.
You know that feeling when you wake up after just taking a nap and you feel like death? Multiply that feeling by infinity then have massive bruises everywhere and a headache that feels like someone is hammering into your head.
Just lovely.
I dragged myself up to my bedroom, grabbed a towel and washcloth, then took one of the longest showers I've taken in a while.
I walked out of the bathroom to see Blake's swollen brown eye staring at me through his window with a glare.
Instantly I shut the curtains and got dressed.
About five minutes later I was on my bed asleep.
It was pitch black when I woke up, my sheets tangled around my sweaty body. I looked to my alarm clock to see that it was 5 am. Great. Just great.
I groaned as I sat up in bed, the prominent bruise on my stomach made it feel like someone had rearranged my insides, however I did my best to ignore the pain and I tiptoed my way to the bathroom.
In the mirror I inspected my bruises, the most noticeable one was on my cheekbone and it was an ugly purple, making the ones on my jaw and collar bone look like a love tap.
When I finished in the bathroom I sat back down on my bed only to feel wide awake. Deciding to get some fresh air I grabbed some leggings and a sweatshirt, then pulled on my running shoes and quietly made my way outside, not forgetting to grab my key on the way out this time.
I jogged my way to the small park that was near my house and sat on the swing that was closest to me, lightly swinging back and forth as I thought about all the ways I could get revenge on my parents and Blake.
Suddenly someone yelled, breaking my peaceful thoughts.
"Stop please, I'll get your money!" The person yelled.
Holy fuckballs. Should I be super stupid and go check it out?
Of course I should, I haven't had a bad enough day yet. I thought as I walked quietly to the sounds. They were inside the cute covered bridge that went over the small river so I poked my head around the corner to see two men, one pushing the other up against the wall with what looked like a knife to the other guy's neck.
"Leave." Someone whispered in my ear, making me jump back.
"Blake." I said, recognizing his voice.
"Why should I, that guy is going to kill him." I whispered back angrily.
"That's not your problem, but if you try to stop it then you'll probably both die." He whispered back just as angrily.
"No I won't, I can't just let someone get killed while I stand by doing nothing." I argued and he shut his eyes in annoyance.
"Fine." He spat as he shoved me back away from the bridge.
"And don't think I'm done talking with you." He said to me as he turned and walked into the bridge.
So he can go in but I can't? I don't think so.
