Polaroid Love

A week passed after [Name]'s meetup. All in all, nothing out of the ordinary or anything happened yet so she continued to follow her daily routine. Wake up, go to school, study, hang out with friends (Sylvia only; she barely had any friends to be honest), go home, sleep. Yes, she was a loner. So what?

Being an outcast at school didn't bother her in the slightest, but what did annoy her was the fact that now an extra handful of people were sitting together with her in the same table during lunch. It's not like [Name] didn't appreciate the people who wasted their time to find and eat lunch with her, the stares of the other students were making the food in front of her unappetizing.

...That's how the story ends with [Name]'s small group consisting of three juniors and a single senior crowding together.

"Hey look, it's a group of loners."

"Why is Sylvia with them?"

"I wonder why that senior is with them though."

"He's the only guy too."

"He probably felt real bad or lost a bet."

"Can they gossip a little quieter? I think I'm gonna get a headache." [Name] grumbled. The brunette just laughed it off and patted her back. "They're just jealous of our cute and wholesome friendship!" The former gave Sylvia a disgusted look and crossed her arms on the table. "What's more surprising is you being here, Zihao. I didn't take you to be the type of guy who hangs out with girls."

Playing with his long hair, he stifled a laughter. "What? Am I not allowed here?" [Name] stuffed her face with her food and spaced out for a while. "I actually don't mind being here, though are you okay with it? I'll leave if you think I'm disturbing." Eloise took a sip of her drink and looked at [Name], then to Zihao. "I'm sure she doesn't mind you sitting with us— Sylvia said that she's just not really feeling well today."

"Oh. Are you sick [Name]? Shouldn't you be resting at home or go to the nurse's office?" Zihao questioned in a worried tone. "No? I'm not risking one absent day just because I feel lightheaded. It's not like I'm dying anyways, what's wrong with you all worrying about me today..."

Sylvia glanced at her watch and poked [Name] on the shoulder. "Okayyy Mrs. I'm feeling lightheaded but I don't wanna go to the nurse's office. We have five minutes left until lunch is over, let's head back now." "What? Has it already been an hour... Ugh, help me up Sylvia."

"We have to go now, see you after school guys! Byee~"

The pair left behind watched their retreating figure. "So—" They both started simultaneously. Then turned their heads to face each other extremely fast. "You first." Zihao eyed Eloise. The latter flinched under his gaze but continued speaking. "Are you close with [Name]?"
