"Y/N, please stop this childishness, I am doing this for your safety", your father implored.

You continued to eat your meal in silence, giving him the silent treatment for what happened a couple days prior. You wiped your mouth with the tip of the napkin before pushing your chair back, the squeak resonating through the large dining room and left without excusing yourself.

After you spent the afternoon in the library, you reflected and realized that you had been acting childish and unfairly took out your situation on your father. He was concerned for your safety, and you couldn't put all the blame on him for your kingdom's customs that forced you to be a bargaining chip.

Deciding you would apologize to your father, you approached his office, knocking on the large wooden doors. After hearing no response, you knocked again louder to yet again receive no response. You pushed the heavy doors open and stuck your head through to peek around the room. It was empty, and you were going to leave and find your father elsewhere when a large parchment on his desk caught your eye.

Curiosity getting the better of you, you scurried in and closed the door behind you. Taking a peek at the document you saw a list of names, many which had been crossed out. Recognizing many of the names, you realized that this was a list of your potential suitors. Your eyes quickly caught the attention of a sole name which was circled in ink; 'King Bakugou'.

You gasped in horror at the thought that your father would marry you off to such a cruel monster. The bloodthirsty rumours surrounding King Bakugou were infamously well-known. You couldn't believe that your own father would send you to your death, afterall the young king despised nobility, keeping his kingdom solitary and enclosed from other kingdoms.

You felt bile rise to your throat and angry tears threatened to spill out. Storming out of the office you stomped across the halls until you found your father in the throne room.

"How could you?!"

King Enji looked visibly confused, "If this is regarding the other day-"

You cut him off, "No! How could you ship me off to be beheaded by some barbarian! For what? I thought you at least cared for me more than that," you yelled, angry tears finally leaking down your cheeks.

"Sweetpea, I have no idea what you mean", he cooed trying to calm you down.

"Don't try to lie to me! I can't believe my own father would betray me like this, was it not enough to choose a partner for me as if I were a breeding mare."

"A mare? What on Earth are you talking about, your marriage will bring great honour to the Kingdom!"

You glared at him, furious at his audacity to pretend to not know what you saw in his office. You twirled away and left the throne room, ignoring your father's call for you to return.

"I'm going for a walk, don't you dare send Shoto or any of the knights after me or else I will never forgive you!"

In your fury, you ran past all the confused servants in the hallways until you were in the gardens. Aimlessly walking to clear your thoughts, you walked into the deep forest unaware that you were not keeping track of where you came from.

You ran your fingers through your hair and lifted your head up towards the sky, inhaling the fresh and woodsy scents in the air. A smile began to crack on your face, nature had always been the one place you could truly feel like yourself, without the pressures of acting like a perfect lady.

Giggling to yourself, you twirled around the grass, your dress fluttering out with the movement and dancing around the trees. Catching the sunlight from between the tree line, you walked through a clearing to find the thick and ancient trees thinning out until there was only a field of colourful wildflowers.
