"What did you say, y/n," Shinsou asked incredulously, reeling from what you just revealed to him. He got up and began to walk in circles around the tiny sitting area, mumbling to himself.

"It's just dreams, is it really that strange?"

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration, leaving the room to return a moment later with an old book in his hand. Shinsou sighed, flipping through its pages before settling on a page. His eyes quickly moved side to side, absorbing its contents before he shut the book and looked back up at you.

"Well I guess you are your mother's daughter."

"Excuse me?"

"Your mother, Queen Rei also had magic," Shinsou stated matter-of-factly.

"Magic?! She has magic?"

"Oh right, I forgot you'd rather cause mayhem than pay any attention to your studies."

You glared at him but he continued unaffected, "There was a time when magic was commonplace, eventually it started waning out and left only a few with magic. Those few with magic would become the royal ancestors and only mated with others who also held magic so the special bloodline could continue. Of course it's been centuries since then, so much of it has disappeared but your mother, the previous Queen, had special abilities."

You stared at him in shock, "Why have you never told me this?"

Shinsou looked at you strangely, "I thought you knew since you're part of the royal family. I'm surprised King Enji never told you."

You crossed your arms and bit your lip, trying to contain your frustration of yet again being the clueless Todoroki princess. "He doesn't tell me much of anything..."

Shinsou fiddled awkwardly, unused to comforting people. "Well that's no matter anyways. It seems you have some sort of premonition magic, albeit very weak."

"What use is that if I only see the same man, and it's not even his future?"

"The same person?" Shinsou ran his hand through his hair in deep thought, "That may relate to an old legend, but I'm uncertain whether it really is the case."

"Can you tell me what it is?" You pouted impatiently.

Shinsou chuckled, "This is exactly why I didn't want to tell you. Take this with a grain of salt, but there was an ancient fable from the dragon tribe, as to how people could find their fated mate."

You leaned in curiously, your interest peaked at the mention of dragons. He smirked at how intensely you were listening to him.

"I'm not sure how accurate this is but a long time ago when the time would come for people to find their partners, they would have dreams of their partner's life. It was probably for survival as people lived shorter lives, so when they met they could mate instantly and further the line." Shinsou shrugged, "That last part is my theory anyways, I guess some people like you would think it's romantic destiny or 'soulmates'," air-quoting the last phrase with his fingers and mock gagging.

Your head started to ache with everything Shinsou had told you.

"Aren't you a romantic," you dead-panned, shaking your head to try and make sense of everything else Shinsou told you.

Was Katsuki really your soulmate? Your first meeting almost got you killed, at his hands no less. You subconsciously grazed the mark Katsuki had left on your neck, your face reddening as you recalled the last time you saw him. You weren't sure what to make of it, the mark stung slightly but you didn't hate it. Katsuki looked like a predator then, his eyes almost all black but strangely you weren't scared. Rather, you felt something you never felt before, a heat spread all over your body, and a thirst for something... more, you just didn't know what exactly.
