I was so relieved this was a new house,my old room was stale and messy but thank goodness gene didn't have to see that and he can see a new room.I let him walk past me as he stiffend in the middle of the room before i closed the door behind us.I swiftly climbed into my bed and grabbed my headphones to listen to
"long live" as gene stood still.He looked so fit and smelt of something nice i'm not really sure the difference in boys colognes and aftershaves and deodorants but his smelt good.He faced me pulling a bit of a face when i realised i was staring at him " oh i'm sorry" i smiled facing down to my white duvet " so what do you wanna do,we can watch a movie or listen to some music or do that shakespeare thing or like do all 3 im not sure really"i waffled trying to make him feel less awkward stood in the middle of a girls room whom he had barely ever associated with.He almost smirked,as though he was about to laugh.I felt my face go a bit red thinking over how fast i had said all of that regretting it straight away,new fit boy in my life and i'm already embarrasing myself.what are the chances
Gene ended up deciding to watch a movie but i wasn't sure what movie to suggest, i didn't want to come off as too weird.I shuffled closer to the edge of my bed so gene could have room and not feel trapped,or maybe it was me who felt trapped.
"i honestly don't mind what we watch" i said tossing the remote back to him as he layed his legs out infront of him before scrolling through the movies section.He stopped on 10 things i hate about you in my 'rewatch' section and laughed as i did too,i slightly shuffled back against my cousin as he turned it on resting his hands behind his head as i felt his eyes looking at me.The awkwardness between us had slightly dissolved but i felt so still and claustrophobic until i felt his eyes get drawn back to the tv.
9:45 "Hey gene do you wanna go get some snacks or something"i turned to face him looking directly at him."uh yeah sure"he grinned before he quickly turned over and jumped out of bed.I laughed and copied him before opening the door and running downstairs,laughing and using all my breath before i got to the kitchen when we both fell back onto the cabinets laughing so hard for no reason.Our parents stay say at the table staring at us laughing on the sides,so tired i'm not even sure what's going on.
We was back in my bed stuffing our faces with ritz and popcorn,sweet and salty,perfect combination.
I looked up at gene smiling and laughing as my eyes fluttered almost falling asleep. " hi " i laughed
He smirked laughing "shut up" he mumbled before pushing me lightly and watching the tv again as i fell back onto the pillow trying to stay awake.I could still hear our parents downstairs laughing or something and i smiled trying to focus on that instead sleep.
"yk what ur not as awful as u were meant to be"i whispered slightly facing him to see what he would say slightly laughing.He pulled a confused face and pulled back to look at me but as he did i felt my eyes fall shut.
3:26 I woke up,hair in my mouth,popcorn all on the floor and drool on the side of my mouth and my arms under my duvet.Why was i such a state what has happened i thought to myself while sitting up going to put my feet down on the floor.I shrieked so high that no noise came out but my throat clawing st me.
Gene was on my floor,a small blanket over him with his head resting on an old teddybear.I looked at him for a second longer smiling at myself.He looked adorable,more than usual and i had no intention of waking him up however it was a little bit late for him to still be here i assumed as no other noises were made in the house.I stared at him for a little longer befor brushing my hair off my face and turning back into bed tucking deeply into the covers against the wall.
