CHAPTER FIVE - WELCOME HOME.

Few minutes later...
In Upanga....

I stepped off the aircraft and gasped as I was truly captivated by how beautiful the Dora Milaje training facility looked.
By being to focused on the building I nearly fell on my face but lucky the Queen was at my hip.

"Whoa there, don't trip" she giggled as she caught me. She had wrapped her arm around me and her hand rested upon my hips. The feeling of her being near me made me feel warm and fuzzy, actually almost dizzy.
"You okay, Johari?"
She asked but I still felt like I was under the trance of Shuri's charisma...even though it was barely charisma.
I nodded without looking at her as I knew I couldn't say a word as I would embarrass myself even more than now.
She laughed and we began to make our way to the facility but I then noticed how her hand was still around me.
I didn't want to be known as the girl who looked liked she fucked her way into being chosen or whatever some of these girls might think. So I slightly moved away from Shuri but she pulled me back, this time I looked at her and she was already looking at me, just smirking.

My heart felt like it was about to explode.
But she let me go but before she did she gave me a wink. This girl is a mess. She's going to get me in trouble for the way she's acting.
We made it to the door of the facility that was guarded by two beautiful Dora Milaje. They looked at us and Saluted Shuri and then looked to me.
"Welcome to the Training Academy, Johari Akintola" they both gave me a nod before opening both doors and what I saw was just astounding.

The inside of this academy was just beautiful.
"Its so beautiful" I said and I looked over at Shuri who was just nodding.
"Come, I shall give you the tour of the whole facility".
We then began the tour, I was so impressed on how this place looked but throughout the whole tour I mainly was focused on how close Shuri was to me, how close her and my hands was to each other that they occasionally bumped into each other.
When I'm around her my brain just feels fried...

One hour later....

"Well, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here" Shuri said as she took a bite out of her beef Samosa.
"I'm sure I will now that I'm not in my moms house" I said that made us both laugh.

After the tour Shuri took me out in the field that was close to the training academy and we sat in the grass as she had prepared a picnic for us.
I took a bite out of the beef samosa and I instantly fell in love with it...if I could marry food, I would do it.
"Good, hu?" Shuri said as she was watching me eat.

Taking another mouth full of it, all I could do was nod. Shuri laughed and she then pulled out something to drink, I could tell it was her favorite drink that she had told me about last night.
"Aah, you brought some Tamarino Cola?" I said as I had had finished stuffing my face full of samosas.
"Of course, my love!" She said.
But my stomach felt like butterflies was in it as she said 'my love'. I blushed and I grabbed the glass of the drink that she handed to me. But when I grabbed it her hand lingered and made me look her in the eyes and just like last time she was already looking at me.
But she then let go and let out a heavy sigh as she laid on her back.

"You seem stressed" I said as I sipped my drink.

"Not stressed....just trying to contain myself" she looked at me before closing her eyes.

"Contain yourself? For what?" I said as I began to move closer.

"If you move closer you're for sure gonna find out" she said as her eyes shot open and she was looking directly at me. I hesitated before backing away, if only we wasn't out like this, surrounded by her royal Dora Milaje, I would have loved to find out.
I bite my lip and I moved away from her. I sipped on my drink but I didn't want to look at Shuri as I knew she was looking at me. I knew once I looked at her that I was going to regret it so I just sipped my drink.

"Johari?...." Shuri said so soft and sweetly. Her saying my name gave me chills. I sighed before looking back down at her.

"Yes, my queen?" I said and she sat up. Her mouth was open as she was trying to think of what to say but nothing came out and we had sat there in silence. She looked away from me, still had that look of thinking of what to say on her face but before she could say anything we was approached by one of the Dora Milaje that was working at the academy.
"Johari, it's time" they said and I looked at Shuri who had looked at me.
I nodded and as I was getting up Shuri grabbed my hand, making me looked back at her.

"Good luck, and I'll see you soon"
And just like that she let me go and I smiled.
"See you until next time, my queen" I said. I turned and made my way to the facility.

When me and the Dora Milaje made it to the facility I turned around to see if Shuri was still there and just like some sad scene in a movie she was still there. She was waving and I did the same before the door closed.
My heart started to hurt, but I didn't know why. Me and Shuri ain't even together like that and I'm feeling this way. I sighed and turned around and the Dora Milaje was just looking at me and slowly a smile appeared on her face.
"I see the queen favors you quite more than normal" she said and my face turned red but more importantly I was scared as I didn't want my feelings get in the way of my future of being a Dora Milaje.
"Its okay kanwata, your secret is safe with me. Plus that's how the royalty chooses their partners, some royalty had chosen their spouses from the Dora Milaje" said the Dora Milaje as we was walking. This lady is amazing, she's my favorite already.

"Oh wow, for some reason I never knew that". The conversation between the both of us lasted the whole time as well was on our way to my room.

"Well, this is your stop Ms. Akintola. You have one roommate and this will be your sister. Here at this academy we consider each other as sister's and I advise you to do so as well, okay?" She said and the door had opened and I was greeted with a hug immediately. I was confused but when I finally saw who it was I had felt so happy.

It was no other than my old best friend who I used to pretend battle with when I was in the River Tribe.

"Cebisa!!" I screamed as tears began to fall down my face. She hasn't changed at all, well she did have way shorter hair.
"Jojo bean!!" She yelled.

"I knew one day I'll see you here and to find out you were the only one to be chosen on choosing day, that's crazy news Jojo!" She said. "I was so sad when your parents decided to move to Birnin Zana, but my mom had always told me that fate will bring us together again and now you're here!!".
One thing I forgot about Cebisa is that she is full of energy and her energy is over the top.

"You're lucky you had a mom who supported you but hey I'm here..." I said with a nervous laugh.

"Then who was your plus one to the choosing ceremony?" Cebisa said. I laughed and a shook my head.
"You wouldn't believe it but I'll tell you later but right now let settle in" I then turned to the Dora Milaje and she smiled.
"I'm glad you're settling in nicely with your sister, well I should be off now, see ya around Johari" said the nameless Dora Milaje that I had forgotten to ask her name.

The door closed and I looked back at Cebisa and she had the biggest smile ever on her face.
"Now...since I don't have much I can tell you everything but you need to promise me one thing!" I said as I began to whisper.
"Oh! Okay!"

Reunited with my childhood best friend....

Had a picnic with queen Shuri...

And most importantly...I'm at the Dora Milaje training academy...

I had all these good things happen and it makes me wonder...what will happen next?
