Greyson's Pov

Things after the VMA's had only grown worse, ever since fans realized the tension between Kehlani and Ariana. As much as I wanted to say it was all bullshit and just a narrative, most of the situation that had been depicted by fans was spot on. A lot of the people who went could barely step out of their houses, without paparazzi begging for insight on what other drama took place at the show, it was just getting out of hand.

I was alone and on my way to Kehlani's since I was getting my daughter while Ariana was back at hers. Everything was fine between us, good even, but I didn't think now was the right time for them to meet so we were taking a break this week and tending to other things and people in our lives. And I missed Dey like crazy, so I was more than happy for it to be just us to be spending the day together.

I pulled up in a matter of thirty minutes, just after coming from a meeting. Ringing the doorbell, Destin was there to greet and welcome me inside while he explained that Dey and Kehlani woke up late so they were still getting ready.

"Yeah, that's fine I don't mind waiting here," I told him, which both of us knew was because of me and Kehlani's ongoing problems. I knew something happened between her and Ariana the night of the VMA's but neither budged on telling me anything.

"Don't tell me you got Hollywood on us, Cameron," Destin chuckled, shaking his head.

I only laughed, somewhat out of nervousness to not make things awkward. "Kinda, it happens when you're dating a pop star."

"So that's why you're glowing!"

"I guess, but I just also really miss Dey,"

"Yeah I noticed you haven't been around here lately, what's up with that?"

"I've just been busy,"

"Or are you avoiding her?"

"Both," I shrugged honestly and I could tell he already knew the answer to the question anyway.

"Well, I'm happy for you G, I think you and Lani's relationship ran its course and she's just still grieving that, I guess," Yeah, grieving something she was mainly to blame for.

"What about her and the rapper girl?"

"You know their relationship's bullshit," Destin explained, keeping a lookout every few seconds or so, to make sure Kehlani wasn't there. "I think they're just lonely and use each other to fill that gap, but Lani doesn't love her and the shit's toxic anyway so I don't see it lasting much longer,"

"Toxic like how?"

"Shit, cheating, arguing, fucking, and making up every other week. It feels like Lani's getting flowers sent over every day for some new shit. This girl's got her back in therapy too."

I looked at him weirdly, cocking my head to the side slightly, "Has she met Adeya?"

"Nah of course not, Dey doesn't know about either of your relationships." I was very relieved at Destin's words, otherwise, Kehlani's girlfriend was gonna meet me sooner than expected. I didn't want Adeya seeing anything like that or having to deal with it. It was bad enough that Kehlani was putting up with all of that from whoever this girl was, but the last thing I needed was for it to affect my daughter. "Can I ask though, what happened with the whole Jenna situation?"

"Nothing really, we just met at a bar that night. Got to know each other and stuff," Which wasn't a complete lie, I just didn't need everyone knowing everything.

"Well, you've got your hands full," He chuckled, patting my back. I didn't get a chance to respond though, before Kehlani and Adeya were both rushing downstairs playfully, as my daughter was turning to me and away from Lani in a fit of laughter, while Kehlani held some of her things chasing after her. "It was good to see you G, I'll let you and your little family be," Destin remarked slyly, which I didn't even bother commenting on, instead choosing to focus on my daughter, who jumped in my arms.
