"YOU know you don't have to go if don't want to?" Florence's mother said. Florence sat on the couch watching some movie her brother left playing. "You've been through-"

"I'm fine, mom," the girl groaned. "I have my ticket so there's no backing out.." she mumbled.

Her mother looked over to her daughter, only seeing the back of her head. She wanted to take her pain away. She hadn't seen her this upset in a while and nothing brought her more pain than seeing her daughter like this.

After the robbery, Willow went home and spent the night crying herself to sleep. She wished Peter wasn't so distant or that she hadn't told him off the way she did.

She wished she could go back in time and take it all back just so he'd talk to her. She wished she'd never gotten taken by her uncle and turned into something that made her feel like she wasn't supposed to be his best friend.

But she also wished he never went silent. After a while it was like she never heard from him unless it was something his aunt needed or wanted.

Now she sat staring at her tv waiting for the time to get ready for her dad's event. The day he would finally get recognized for his contribution to his company she never understood.

"Well i'll be out doing last minute shoppings for the banquet.." her mother added, not yet taking her belongings. "You can come with if you want to." She hoped this would spark some interest.

She still stared at the tv. She wanted to say no. She wanted to cry all over again and hide in her room until the crying stopped.

But her best judgment got the best of her. "Okay." she sighed out getting up from the couch. "Let me get dressed."

...

Florence walked behind her mother closely in the beauty store. She told her she could get whatever she wanted but she couldn't find anything that sparked interest.

Even the things she had previously wanted to buy didn't spark any excitement or enthusiasm. "What about this? You said you wanted it a while ago."

She looked to the product Gwen used daily that she told her to get but didn't really want it. So she shook her head and looked back over the store.

Her mother let out a small sigh but continued to shop, making sure to keep Florence in her line of vision.

As the girl walked around the store lazily, she took notice that more men were shopping there than women. One head stood out most to her.

It was a taller guy with a buzz cut. She stared at him a little longer than expected and he eventually turned around. "Flash..?" she asked aloud.

The boy heard his name and looked around for a second before coming face to face with Florence. His eyes went wide and his cheeks turned pink.

He hadn't talked to her much since she had gotten back to safety. But he really wanted to. Just not when he was shopping for makeup.

"Florence!" he gasped while trying to hide his bag. He watched as she walked over to him with a confused smile. "What.. What are you doing here?"

"I'm with my mom.." she smiled. She noticed his bag behind his back and her smile turned into a grin. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

He bit the inside of cheek to stop his nervous laughter but it didn't help. He had to look down in defeat as his bag fell to his side. "I'm shopping for Gwen.. for our one month anniversary.." he admitted. He saw the look of surprise wash over the girls face.
