Do I Like You? (ENGLOT)

9.1: Revelations

Charlie was left alone in the living room since Aunty Siti, who finally introuduced herself earlier, is busy arranging her bedroom while the two dorks are still in the middle of shopping.

She was casually watching a series in Netflix, partnered with a bowl of mix nuts on her lap.

*Buzz* *Buzz*

Her forehead creased, she is sure the two are not supposed to be back yet and they already know her passcode.

As she didn't wanna bother Aunty, she walked to the door with her crutches supporting her to see who  interrupted her Netflix and chill.

When she opened it, she instantly regret doing it. Unfortunately, it was Nesa who's standing by her doorstep.

"Nesa." Charlie stated flatly. "How'd you find me?"

"P'Char, I'm sorry for showing up unexpectedly but please give me a chance to talk to you. I followed Khun Amira when she drove here, I overheard her talking with Boss N, saying she's gonna come and visit you. I actually feel bad doing this but I really don't have a choice. Please, P'Char." Her voice cracked, tears welled on her eyes.

Charlie fully opened the door to let her in.

Nesa was overjoyed, "Thank you P' Char. Thank you."

Charlie returned to her seat position on her couch a while ago and gestured to Nesa to sit when she just stood there, afraid of making a mistake that might anger her.

"So what brings you here?"

She may seem composed on the outside, but she was just holding her emotions in. She refuses to acknowledge that she is still strongly affected by what happened years ago.

"I came here to formally apologize and explain my actions in the past that brought you great pain. Please give me w chance to explain my side, I am not asking you to believe everything that I'll say but I hope it will at least give you light twhat happened."

Charlie stiffened but masked it immediately. Hearing about 'it' again made her uncomfortable but she also wanted the truth. The truth may hurt but it would give her peace of mind.

"Talk."

"You're very beautiful P' Char and that's obviously how P'Fa sees you from the very beginning. You were well-spoken and poised in everything that you do. You have everything in a person that P' Fa admires and loves. But you see, I liked P' Fa like the way she likes you. She acts very cute and is very kind to me I couldn't help myself falling for her."

This new revelation made Charlie shocked and uneasy.

"You and P' Fa were a shipped couple and knowing that P' Fa likes you made me stop myself from foolishly confessing to her. I was no match for you. Despite that, I still admired you and I still wanted to befriend you. You and the girls were a gift from God."

"I lost all hope but then P' Fa contacted me when she was still in Indonesia for MGI. She instructed me to meet her in her unit once she arrives, and so I did. I haven't seen her for a while and missed her."

Charlie reminisced to the day when Farrah arrived from Indonesia. She knew of the time when she will land and told her to call her once she is in Thailand, but she never received a call.

"When I went there, I saw her sitting on her bed, she seemed preoccupied she didn't notice me immediately. And when she did, she was smiling at me, relieved I was there. My heart melted the instant she smiled. However, she asked me a favor that both made me happy and uneasy. Happy because I get to do it with her and uneasy because she's doing it to hurt you.."
