Kim Ri-Ya's POV:
.
"Yah!" I shouted after Ma-Ra, storming after her as Lotus members started to file out of the EXO Manor, going back home. "Are you out of your mind?!"
Ma-Ra didn't stop, heading to her car quickly, avoiding the eyes that turned to look at us as we passed.
"You must be if you think this will change anything!" I stopped next to the driver's side as she got into her car, her window rolling down as she shut the door. "I won't work with them. You know better than anyone why—"
"Do you think I'm enjoying this?" Ma-Ra mumbled softly, looking up at me, "Do you think this is easy for me? For any of us?"
"I do," I spat, "it's easy for you because you're calling all the shots, you're making all the decisions, and you're choosing how this continues."
A glare sharpened Ma-Ra's face, and her jaw went taunt, "I am doing what is best for all of u—"
"You." I cut her off, taking a step back so she would start the car, "You're doing what is best for you. For you and Suho... just don't forget that the rest of us are still here and while you two can hide away in your offices," I looked around at the people around us, tired and afraid, "we're the ones fighting on the front line."
"Which is why we're doing this!" Ma-Ra snapped, "This will help—"
"EXO," I interrupted her again, "This will help EXO. It won't help the Lotus. We have our people, and we have our guns. We don't call for them when we're in danger. We just sort it out ourselves. Maybe it's time they learnt to do that too."
Ma-Ra clearly wanted to say more, argue more, but I turned away from her, walking back towards the EXO Manor where Oh-Rim had parked, blocking in three other cars.
"That looked a little intense," Oh-Rim pulled a face at me, motioning to Ma-Ra, "what did you say?"
"Nothing," I muttered, going around her to head to the driver's side, "we should head out."
"Byul isn't coming," Oh-Rim told me, heading for the passenger's seat.
"Why not?" I frowned, shutting the car door and pressing the on button of the car.
"She's going to stay here until 8 because that's when her patrol with her husband starts," Oh-Rim told me with a shrug. "She got lucky. She's also with Chen and Dami from the defence team."
I groaned softly, placing my head against the steering wheel, "We have the first shift, don't we? 6 until 8?"
"Yep," Oh-Rim chirped, "we have an hour until then, so let's head home for a bit, I want to change into something more—"
"Wow, this is a nice car," a voice cut Oh-Rim off, and Chen appeared at my window, smiling brightly, "have you been well, Second?"
He was the easiest of them all to like. He'd saved Yeo-Reom, he'd tried to cover her back. He was a good person.
"So and so," I sighed, sitting up, "is there something you need from me?"
"See, she talks nicely to you but to no one else," Xiumin's voice called out and he appeared, dragging Baek-Hyun along with him. "I don't understand it."
"It's because I'm pretty, right?" Chen winked at me playfully before reaching inside the car and clicking the button to unlock the doors. "I'm sorry about this but Suho wants to make sure you'll actually patrol together so he wants them to come with you until your shift."
