As soon as the bell rang, all I heard was a girlish scream. It was Lydia. She was angry. I rushed out of the classroom, leaving Scott behind. It's not like he could give me a ride home anyways. When I stepped out into the hallway, I saw Lydia stomping off in the direction of the lockers, towards Jackson. What did he do? I ran after her. "Lydia, what's wrong?" I got my answer shortly after when she yelled at Jackson.

"Jackson!" He turned around and looked at Lydia with a small smirk on his face. "This little text - not funny!" I took the phone from her hand, reading what was apparently a breakup text.

"No, I wasn't trying to be funny. I would have put a "ha ha" at the end of it. And, see, there's no "ha ha."" I looked back at Jackson with wide eyes, but I didn't say anything. Mostly because Lydia wasn't done talking.

"Lydia, please give back my spare house key at your earliest convenience - As we are no longer dating." She read the text out loud after snatching the phone from my hand.

"You didn't lose it, did you?" He asked, not caring at all about her feelings. I was trying to hide the fact that I was just so overjoyed at the fact that Lydia, the amazing and caring Lydia, was no longer dating the cold hearted, stupid, controlling Jackson.

"What the hell is this?"

"Well, Lydia, in preparation for some big changes, I've decided to drop some of the dead weight in my life. And you're just about the deadest." What changes was Jackson talking about? Also, incredibly rude.

"Are you breaking up with me?" She whispered, not wanting anyone to hear her say that. She put her hand out behind her, wanting me to take her hand. As often as she put up a strongfront, I knew her heart was hurting right now.

"Dumping, actually. I'm dumping you." Jackson started to walk away but Lydia grabbed his jacket with her free hand and yanked him back.

"Dumped by the co-captain of the lacrosse team. I wonder how many minutes it'll take me to get over that." Jackson shrugs, still not caring. He blows her a kiss before he walks away. I flipped him off but he only rolled his eyes before turning towards the door. "Wait, seconds, actually. Seconds!" Lydia shouted out after him.

"Well, damn. Is it break up season?" Lydia turned back to me and her anger faded away. Now she just looked sad. "Shit. I'm sorry. Lyds, are you ok?" She looks back at the door and sighs.

"I'm fine. I'm totally fine." And then she walked away. I had a feeling that this wasn't the end of this conversation, but when I stepped out of the school, she was gone. Stiles was just throwing his backpack in his Jeep when I ran up to him and hopped in the car.

"Everyone ditched me." I explained. "Is there any way that I can get a ride with you?" I asked with a smile. He couldn't say no to this smile. And he didn't, driving us to his place.

When we got to Stiles' house, he rushed over throwing his backpack on the floor of his bedroom and sat down at his chair in front of his laptop. Tossing my backpack down next to his, I sat down on his bed. I wasn't as oblivious as Stiles, so as soon as I sat down, I saw Derek standing there in the corner of the room. He put his finger to his lips and told me not to make a noise. I nodded, despite how nervous I was. Stiles started typing on his computer rapidly, and before I had a chance to say anything, his dad called him from outside the door. "Hey, Stiles!"

"Yo, D-Derek." He stumbled over his words, clearly not having seen Derek's quiet sign. Derek stood near the back of the door, holding his finger to his mouth. I stayed on the bed as Stiles rushed to his bedroom door, standing in between the door and the wall, closing his door almost all of the way.
