Scott was grounded, not that that stopped him from hanging out with Allison when mom wasn't home. I was almost envious of Scott. Instead of getting grounded, mom just constantly asked if I was ok. Or if I was doing drugs. Or if there was something I needed to tell her. I always responded with the same thing, telling her I was fine, that the reason I had failed that one test was because I was stressed and didn't study as much as I should've. She didn't buy it. "Stay away from Allison. Stay away from Allison." I looked back at Scott, raising my eyebrows.

"You sound like a psycho." I muttered, looking up at my brother.

"Stay away from Allison." He continued, ignoring me completely. As we walked into English class, Stiles was in his seat. He saw both of us and I sat next to him so that Scott couldn't. Scott sighed and sat down right behind Stiles. "Still not talking to me?" Scott whispered, leaning forward. I looked over at Stiles and he rolled his eyes, pouting as he stared forward.

"That's a no." I told Scott, shrugging. I looked back at Stiles, putting my hands on his desk. "How's your dad?" I asked, bringing Stiles' attention to me.

"It's just a bruise, right? Some soft tissue damage? Nothin' that big..." I looked back at Scott, glaring at him. Not helping. Scott sighed and looked back at Stiles. "You know I feel really bad about it, right?" I looked back at Stiles, who looked like he was trying really hard not to talk to Scott.

"Okay. What if I told you that we're trying to figure this whole thing out, and..." I looked back at Scott, who nodded, letting me know I could tell Stiles. "That he went to Derek for help?" Stiles looked back at me, but continued to ignore Scott.

"If I was talking to him, I'd say that he's an idiot for trusting him. But obviously I'm not talking to him." I looked back at Scott, giving him a knowing glance. Stiles groaned as he turned around suddenly. "What did he say?"

Scott pushed open the door, Stiles walking behind him, keeping the door open for me. I sent him a small smile before his attention was back on Scott. "He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Scott nodded as we walked past the swarm of students walking to their next class. Luckily for us, we had a free period. "All right, well, correct me if I'm wrong, but every time you do that, you try to kill someone, and that someone is usually me." I looked back at Stiles. "Sorry. That person is usually us." I looked back at my brother.

"I know. That's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can teach me. I have to be able to control it." Scott replies, shrugging.

"Well, how's he gonna teach you to do that?" I asked. Derek didn't usually give straight answers.

"I don't know. I don't think he does either." I rolled my eyes.

"Okay. When are you seeing him again?" Stiles asked. I wanted to know what he was thinking.

"He told me not to talk about it. Just act normal and get through the day." Both Stiles and I looked back at Scott. I gave him a look that said, 'just tell us you dimwit'. "He's picking me up at the animal clinic after work."

"After work. All right, well, that gives me to the end of the school day then." Scott and I both looked back at Stiles.

"To do what?" We asked. Stiles gave us a look and I couldn't help but smile.

"Stop doing that." He sighed, making Scott and I smile at each other. "And I'm going to teach you myself."

Lydia and Allison were sitting across from us at a different table. I could see Allison reading a book to Lydia, who looked totally uninterested. Scott sat across from me and Stiles, holding a book in front of his face so that Allison couldn't see him. I had a smirk on my face, mostly to keep myself from laughing. "I think the book's making it more obvious." Stiles said, looking back at Scott. I giggled a little, looking back at Allison to make sure she wasn't looking our way.
