Thrawn's plan has been set in motion. With the forces of the galaxy united he ordered the single largest counter attack in history, sweeping form planets after planet.
They met with minimum resistance, the reapers were all deactivated. He hypothesized that they were evolving, or restoring energy. According to the research done by the imperial science department these creatures are semi organic beings, similar to he yu zhon vong.
Aboard his flagship the chimera he watched as his fleet began to open fire on a inactive reaper. It buzzed to life after the first volleys impacted it's shields. When it opened it's massive claws thrawn used a nefarious plan, sending in small tie bomber squads he unloaded Kaveri crystal bombs, one of the most explosive devices in the galaxy.
As it made contact with the reaper's firing lens they exploded, stopping the reaper from attacking, and allowing the imperial fleet to destroy it with relative ease.
As their crusade moved through the core, thrawn ran out of time. While his gambit proved effective at first, the reapers responded fast. Many awoke from their transformation to face the imperial fleet head on.

Thrawn blinded yet another reapers, his fleets opened fire as brilliant flashes of light engulfed the enemy, turning it into molten slag.
Just when things were looking up, ten capital reapers showed up from warp, spewing forth hundreds of oculi fighters.
Thrawn scrambled the fleet's own, while bolstering his defenses, firing back into the reaper fleet.
The reapers opened their massive jaws, charging their turbolasers beams.
In a matter of seconds blasts came forth from the reaper fleet, streaks of red light passed by. Any ships that were caught immediately were sliced in half. Blowing up in violent fashion.
"All guns fire at the Reaper forces, target their weak points!" Thrawn commanded, breaking a sweat as his fleet was beginning to tear apart from sheer firepower.
"Fire the ion torpedoes, get the tie defenders in formation, protect the bombers!" He continued to order as a few oculi blasts made contact with the ship's bridge. Shaking the entire hull.
"Do not give up.....For the Empire!" Thrawn shouted over the comms, one of he few times anyone has heard emotion from the general
"FOR THE EMPIRE!" His crew cheered around him.
(Reapers POV)
"Zzzzzttttttt" Another blast went loose from the Sovereign class.
As soon as the beam landed another Star destroyer was obliterated. Sliced in half as it's reactor imploded into a small scale supernova.
Harbinger watched from his slumber as his small task force was already obliterating the capital fleet of the empire.
That Darth Vader......He really destroyed himself to get rid of him. However! He is eternal, he is The Harbinger. No one, not a mere mortal would take him down. He escaped with major damage to his hull.
He barely managed to shoot the executor in time with his spinal cannon after the shields melted away.
He cut straight through it and it's bridge but the hyperspace fragment still made contact, the light speed ram destroyed a sizable portion of him. Destroying months of progress.
They must have assumed he has died to commit such a bold act. Counter attacking like this. In truth he has been recovering, and soon he would have access to the force with the intregrwtion of the midichlorian they collected from Luke Skywalker. They now had access to the ability to manipulate it, now his hull is being constructed by the living beings that have higher counts of the mysterious microscopic creature.
Harbinger is now still active to command his forces and sprang the ambush upon the unsuspecting Imperial forces.
The Reapers have destroyed the other fleets in similar fashion. Harbinger has made sure that a few of them would be able to wake up. Just in case. And in his infinite knowledge he was right, the organic named Thrawn was able to see through their plan.
He watched and commanded his forces as they attacked
The empire's fleet consists of: 15 Nebulon B frigates, 2 Intredictor, 8 Imperial 1 class Star destroyers, 10 Imperial 2 class Star destroyers and of course. The flag ship Chimaera.
"Zzzzzztttttt" A few more blasts came forth destroying two more Star destroyers.
The reaper fleet consists of: 15 Sovereign class Reapers, 5Jedi class hull, 20 Reaper destoyers.
While not much, the surprise element allowed the Reapers to turn the tide of battle. Two shots from the spinal cannon would sever a Star destroyer in half, one to break the shield, and another to break the body. A frigate would easily be torn in half.
Thousands of Oculi fighters spill forth from the Jedi class hulls, blackening the view and swarming all imperial defenses. As their blasts rained down like rain in a storm. Cutting through and melting the Nebulons with ease. Even the new tie defended couldn't stand up against the wave of death.
Just as the Reapers were winning. All of a sudden a hyperspace anomaly was detected. For a second the battle seemed to be frozen as a massive super dreadnought popped in from hyperspace.
The Eclipse, have come to aid the empire.
(Cue imperial march)
"TO THE REAPERS WHO DARE ATTACK THE EMPIRE! I SHALL DESTROY YOU PERSONALLY! BEHOLD, THE FULLY OPERATIONAL SECOND DEATH STAR AND MY PERSONAL FLAGSHIP, THE ECLIPSE!" Palpatine announced over every channel.
The Death Star II in it's full glory warped in from hyperspace, while only half of it has finished. The 900 km battle station is armed with over 30 000 heavy turbolasers batteries and thousands of laser cannons appeared in the midst of the battle. Firing a shot of it's super weapon into the reaper fleet which decimated a sovereign immediately.
Then, the eclipse joined in the fray.
19 Km of hull along with thousands apon thousands of turbolasers. It's menacing size completely overwhelmed the battle. Several super turbolasers fired into the Reaper capital ships, making short work of them within a few minutes. It's black hull mixed in with the dark vacuum of space as it rained destruction onto the forces below.
Harbinger, unwilling to watch his brothers and sisters die, decided to end this threat. He sensed that the emperor was inside of the Death Star. They needed to destroy it.
"Send in.......Massacare and Karma, no.....send in everyone!." He ordered telepathically, they needed to bring down the emperor.
Just then a few more brilliant flashes of light appeared the rest of the imperial fleet jumped in. Protecting their covenant leader. 9 867 of the remaining Star destroyers along with the final 10 super dreadnoughts joined the fray.
Accompanied by this, on the opposite side, 159 000 remaining reapers and 2 dreadnoughts along with the rebel alliance fleet gathered to harvest them.
This would be the defining battle for Millenniums to come....
