The Heavenly Emperors Blessing (Hualian)

2. Ascension (pt.2)

Xie Lian had ascended back to the mortal realm. He stayed in a humble shack for the night, right before he has went to sleep a silver butterfly fluttered past him. His eyes began to grow heavy and he slept peacefully.

It was finally morning and Xie Lian was getting ready to head back up to heaven. He had washed up and changed into some more decent robes. He then ascended back up there and walked to Ling Wens palace to stay at until it was time to head over to the court.

Xie Lian read through a couple of scrolls helped Ling Wen a bit and meditated for a bit. Then finally came the afternoon and he grew nervous. He would be seeing the new emperor for the very first time. He stepped through the doors and saw a very handsome tall man with black raven locks of hair, sharp facial features, and an eyepatch. He was the most beautiful man he had ever seen.

Hua Cheng blushed quickly seeing his beloved walk in snd quickly hid it. Yin  slightly snickered before announcing that the meeting was starting. Xie Lian bowed to the emperor in the middle of the hall. "Your highness," His deep husky voice spoke with admiration. Everyone was surprised that their emperor spoke with such tone as he was usually strict.

His eyes full of love gazed at his beloved before him. "Please rise, it's too much to see you bow to me." He spoke and everyone stared. "Hua-Chengzhu, someone had destroyed a part of my palace." A man said with a fierce scowl. Xie Lian then spoke up, "I'm sorry that was me." He chuckled nervously putting his hand on the back of his neck. His voice was soft and a bit raspy, it was addicting to listen to and played the strings to Hua Chengs heart like a guitar.

"I'm sure he did not mean so to do that, Mu Qing. We have the merits to rebuild, the ascension was sudden so Ofcourse there would have been damage." He said in a slight defensive manner and strict tone unlike the soft one he used with Xie Lian. "The reason I had called you here is because I chose his highness to go on a very important mission to the ghost realm with me." He said smiling. Everyone gasped, 'Already?' There were whispers saying how Hua Cheng had picked so fast even though he just ascended.

Xie Lians eyes met his and he quickly bowed, "I am honored!" He spoke happily. Inside Hua Cheng was melting at his beloveds reaction. He thought he would disagree but he instead agreed. "After the meeting I hope we can meet up and talk." He said calmly before returning to his strict demeanor and listening to reports, territorial issues, and more. Mostly involved with the two overly annoying generals, Mu Qing and Feng Xin. Xie Lian blushed every time Hua Cheng glanced at him with his soft but sharp eyes.
