Xie Lian and the others waited until night to enter the mountain. Once they had made it far enough Hua Cheng helped Xie Lian out of the carriage.
Hua Cheng held an umbrella as they walked through a rain of blood. They stopped in front of a temple.
"Your highness..."
"Yes San Lang?"
"I-" Suddenly Hua Cheng gasped and gripped his head. "Augh!"
"San Lang! Are you okay? What's happening?" Xie Lian said worried. He would see tinges of red deep through his eye. "Your highness you should leave now.." Hua Cheng said while covering his face. "I can't just leave you here San Lang!" "Please your highness you must not see me like this I might accidentally hurt you."
Xie Lian kept determined and stayed where he was trying his best to aid his San Lang.
'I'll have to bring us somewhere to lay down quickly.' Xie Lian thought, he quickly picked up the emperor and ran into the temple. Xie Lian sat him down and propped his head up. He then put the back of his hand on his forehead to check his temperature to find that he was burning up.
"San Lang, you have a fever.." The ghost king just said whimpered and gripped the others white robes. "Gege, please leave." Xie Lian grew angry at this. "San Lang I will not just leave you here in this state!" He said putting both hands on their cheeks looking deep into his eyes. "Gege.."
