TW: Blood and gore

The young girl quivered on the ground. The only thing that surrounded her was blood. Thr ground she laid on seemed to be painted in a deep red. Aizawa stared on in horror. This girl was no more than five. She was a child. Yet she had gone through more pain than most adults will in their entire lives. Aizawa couldn't move, this was a horror scene. This was a child. This was a child. This was a child. This was a child. This was a child. This was a child. This was a child.

And she's about to die.

Aizawa took out his phone and called for emergency services. He looked back at the young girl. What could have happened to her?

                                                                                          ****

"Well, I can't seem to find anything on the young girl." Nezu stated

Aizawa looked up. Once an ambulance had come and grabbed the girl, he had come to Nezu. It just didn't seem right. That girl... Her injuries didn't just show an intent to kill, but an intent to harm. She had to have been in more pain than anyone could've thought possible. Someone wanted to harm this girl, leave her wishing to be dead. Aizawa had never seen injuries so severe, and for them to be inflicted on a child. That was truly evil.

"What do you mean you can't find anything on her?" Aizawa asked, voice becomig tense.

"Well, Mr. Aizawa, if you don't mind my asking, what has got you so worked up about this girl?" Nezu stared on, carefully watching the teacher's face, trying to decipher what he was feeling. Aizawa abrubtly stood up.

"I don't think you understand. When I found that girl, Nezu, she was drenched in blood. It covered the length of the street. She was shaking, she was scared, and she seemed to have given up. How can a child give up on themselves? She's barely five, but she already acts as if there's nothing left to live for. Not only was she harmed physically, but there's obvious emotional damage to. This child does not deserve what happened to her, and she will live in fear so long as whoever did this to her is out there; she will continue giving up on herself and her life as long as the people who hurt her are out there. So you must excuse me if I'm confused about how you can supposedly find nothing on the girl." Aizawa didn't restrain the venom from his voice.

"Well then, Aizawa, since you care so much about the young girl, perhaps you'd be open to taking her in?" Nezu smiled at Aizawa.

"What-" Aizawa's eyes widened.

"Yes! It would be the perfect arrangement. She wouldn't have to worry about attending school until she recovers, I'd be happy to homeschool her. You have a spare room-"

"But I'm not equppied to take care of a child." Aizawa said, exasperated.

"Not yet! You'll have to go shopping with her! Let her pick out anything she likes, let her know she has control over what she doesn't and does want." A quiet silence fell over the room. Nezu was suggesting something crazy, something Aizawa would usually never consider; but as he thought back to the girl drenched in blood and grief... It seemed logical. Aizawa did care about helping the young girl, and if she had a dangerous quirk, it was logical keeping him around to teach her to control it. Was he really equipped to handle a child though?

"You have to decide soon, Mr. Aizawa. The hospital has already started to gather the paperwork to put her in the foster system." Nezu stated.

"You want me to adopt this child..?" Aizawa lowered his voice to barely a whisper, still contemplating his options.

"Yes. I think she'd be safe with you." Silence fell once again.

"I'll do it."
