Isabella chuckled to herself as she passed tons of people searching for candy as she headed to the hufflepuff common room. She changed into a shorter tighter dress and put on a tiara before charming her face then transforming into her animagus.
She returned to the common room around 8 PM as the party started. When she entered everyone cheered and a bunch of people wanted to dance with her. Isabella laughed as she danced surrounded by gryffindors which she knew for a fact by their drawings glowing in the dark common room Around 10 she decided to stop dancing and sat down.
As time grew slowly toward 12 ,people started trickling in as they gave up, but right before the clock hit midnight someone ran in screaming.
"I found it! I found it!"
The crowd made a path for me to the person. Isabella looked up and saw...
"Black? Potter?" She looked stunned.
"We worked together." Sirius and James stood proud.
"So about our question." James looked suspicious.
"Nope, no way." She said, "Only one of you can ask me a question and hear the answer."
They turned to each other quickly to discuss.
"I think it should be me," Sirius said. "Mostly cause she's hot though."
"Well it's settled then. Because I care more about the question than you."
"Okay, true." Sirius shrugged. "As long as you send her my way when you're done."
Isabella rolled her eyes and turned to James. "Follow me." She beckoned him.
She led him to a quieter corner and they sat down in some chairs. James sat thinking of all the questions flying around in his head trying to get one.
"So," She held back a laugh. "Did you like my prank?" She looked at his face covered with flowers and hearts.
"How did you even get us?" He laughed. "We were up for a long time."
"You can never truly know how much our magic can really do." She smirked
"So anyway, back to my question." James sat up and looked serious.
Isabella was taken by surprise by her reaction. Her body had flushed pink as he leaned closer.
"I was hoping you'd forget," she laughed uncomfortably.
"I want to know..." He paused for a second thinking. "What house and year are you in?"
"Well I'll answer one or the other."
"Okay, okay," he motions to people behind them and Sirius, Remus and Peter came over. "Let me discuss it with my associates." He turned and they all whispered.
"Should I ask her what house or year she's in?" James whispered.
"I say house," Sirius said. "That could help narrow it down, but we also kinda think we know she's a gryffindor."
"I think you should ask her year." Peter suggested. "It would narrow it down way more and we could easily just cancel out everyone else."
"I agree with Wormtail." Remus nodded.
Peter's face seemed to light up at the comment.
"Okay," James turned back around. "We have come to a conclusion."
"I thought I said only one person could ask me?" She glared.
"You didn't say how many people could listen to the answer." James smirked back at her.
Isabella smiled evilly and James' smile dropped seeing her reaction.
"You're right." She smiled. "How about I announce it right now to the whole party."
"NO!" The four of them yelled, turning heads toward them.
"Oh," She smiled sweetly, "I thought you four liked bending the rules."
"Look," Remus said. "All of us know as soon as James knows the answer he's going to tell us so just go ahead and tell us."
Isabella considered it before nodding, "Okay, bring it on."
James became serious again. "We want to know what year you're in."
"Of all the bloody questions you just had to pick that one didn't you." she sighed before sitting us a little more. "I am in..." She tried not to laugh at their faces of anticipation.
"Get on with it woman!" Sirius screamed.
"I am in your year." She said plainly before getting up and disappearing into the dance floor.
